Ian wright on absolute radio earlier said that he has heard that purs and HR have parted company.
It ll over twitter, apparently David moyes is our preferred choice.
Nothing been confirmed ye, but it may actually have happened.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Apparently hes quit cos modders is going to be sold! typical harry blame it on someone else, real reason is cos levy wouldnt extend his contract and up his wages. Levy like most of us is sick of Harry not being able to keep his mouth shut and our pre xmas collapse that cost us 3rd and champs league costing the club £15+ mill.
please no to moyes, would much rather A.V.B, hiddink, ancelotti but my money is on Bilic

Agree4 Disagree9

This is not true, HR hasn't left. I just read that Harry has put an end to all these rumours.

Agree7 Disagree5

I for one would not b sad to c the back of redknapp, money we got in for crunchie i would willinglypay himoff, he cost us third place in leage, some of his decisions have been a joke, spent more time on tv than at the training groumd, maybe modric will go and bale and rvv will follow, who knows,but thfc haave been around for over a hundred and thirty years, we will be around when we are kicking up daisies, i am 59 supported spurs, for 50 years my one wish b4 i peg out was to c us win the league but the way thfc goes ile have to live until im 179 would i want a large cheque to follow someone else no once a spur always a spur, harry take the money and go

Agree4 Disagree4

Don't think redknapps gone but if he does, we wont get bilic because he's got the spartak moscow job after the euros

Agree2 Disagree2

Don't believe any of these rumours yet.
It's all because HR's got Wayne Rooney's agent with only one style of agreeing a deal (remember the "I'm too big for Man Utd and want to leave" saga). The only problem might be that Daniel Levy will not want to put up with this person of an agent for any length of time, and it might be effecting the negotiations.

I'd take Martinez as a replacement over Capello, Ancelottie or AVB. He's got a proven record in the Premier League, plays far more exciting and attacking football than Moyes at Everton (and is more creative), and he's genuinely smart and underrated.
His punditry at the Euros has been second to none.

The Tottenham board have this evening sacked Redknapp.

Things are getting interesting since my last post - Rumours are rife (and i must stress the word RUMOURS) that Spurs and Harry have parted company. The word "sacked" has been used on more than one occassion, both online and on the radio.

But that would make sense if my two previous posts are to come to fruition......

My love to Dave M.

Redknapp has resigned.
Moyes in.. hopefully..

Believable1 Unbelievable11

'redknapp has resigned.' why are you stating it like its a fact? apart from rumour site where lets be honest most things put on here dont end up happening i havent seen anywhere saying this has happend. only believe it when i see it on our site or ssn. Dont state a rumour like its a fact!

Agree1 Disagree5

Nonsense, harry is going no where. Just announced on espn that he is staying put aND does not know where this rumour came from?

Agree4 Disagree3

Redknapp has just made a statement on bbc - he has not resigned , furious with these rumours, etc-- strong outburst by harry

Agree3 Disagree2

Just quoting Sky.

"No, I haven't resigned, and I have no idea why it is being suggested that I have resigned."

"This is an outrage; an absolute liberty for people to be putting around this kind of rumour on the internet."

"It is not true, there is not a chance I will resign. Why should I? I have a year left on my contract."

Knut {Ed001's Note - or, in real terms, why would I resign and lose the massive amount of money I stand to earn this year....}

Agree3 Disagree0

HR will not resign. I would bet my house on it.
Not confirmed yet and I don't think it will be confirmed {Ed001's Note - I agree completely, he will be sacked or his contract not renewed when he goes, he would never resign, money is his primary consideration in life.}

Agree3 Disagree1

When Redknapp denies something it always means the opposite. No way would he walk, he always thinks about his wallet. Also Levy would get some compensation and let another club take him instead he's not stupid.

IN LEVY WE TRUST.

The Rabbit

Agree3 Disagree0

Spot on Ed001, I think i first put this on here a few weeks back. Harry knows of another job worth mega dollars to him. He won't resign though he will make Spurs pay out his contract. I can't find out if its Chelsea, overseas or some other deal. {Ed001's Note - I have no idea what is happening, I do know the board are unhappy with Redknapp, but that is all I know.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed I have to question you saying harrys primary consideration in life is money its bang out of order, Do you know harry personally to make such a claim, Me or anyone else on this site should say money is his goal in life because if you listen to ex-pros they have nothing but kind words to say about him & he's a real football man.
He does a lot of charity work going all the way back to his playing days & I'm sure like everyone else his primary concern in life is his family. The club you support is owned by fsg which consists of two hedge fund company owners with the primary aim to make money but it would be presumptuous of me to cast judgement considering McCain heads up one of the biggest Cancer charity's in America, Now I'm not looking for an argument with you It's just I find it a bit ugly your judgement on Harry & misplaced.
Now I do agree with your point that he won't quit & if it was me & I had contract worth 3ml owed I'd expect to get paid as would most people.
Espur {Ed001's Note - actually, yes I have dealt with him many times. I fail to see any relevance in the discussion with Liverpool, purely a bitter comment that one. You seem to be thinking I am saying it purely as a dig against Spurs, I am not, I am making a personal comment on how I found Harry to be while managing Bournemouth and West Ham. Now please grow up a bit, just because he manages your club, does not mean he is a good man.}

Agree2 Disagree1

Ed hand on heart there was no bitterness in lvpool owners comment i was just trying to make the point that someone could be the biggest u know what when it comes to business but i mentioned the cancer charity as the otherside to a person in there private life. I was only using them as a mutual recognisable reference point to my view that its wrong to cast aspertions on someones charachter without truly knowing them. I have a friend & she has a motto that you. Should never speak bad about someone else to another person if they don't know that person her whole reasoning on this is if the shoe was on the other foot a person u met for first time had heard someone else badmouthing u they would have a preconceived opinion not of there own.
I have to admit i did think u were having a dig & did not know u had dealings with harry so for tha i have enough backbone to apologise so i am sorry for thinking u were having a cheapshot. Belive it or not i wanted harry gone since we lost to Everton & wanted bilic van gal or laudrup as next manager but at the same time i dont like seeing someone being kicked when there down, its an irish thing.
if u had said ol harry loves the money orsomething along those lines I wouldnt have a problem it was your choice of words that i found wrong most important thing in life i just dont like it & was really not looking to b argumentitive about it & found your grow up comment a bit laughable & predictable if i grow up anymore i wont fit through the door im 6'5 as it is so take it back u swine, As i say not looking to argue but was more hoping u would just remove the money is the most important thing in life bit but hey its your show u can do what u like. No hard feelings either way but if i ever find u in a dark alley im gonna stick harrys gold coins up your ass until your dukebox.(joke) ill really use his sword collection {Ed001's Note - ok mate, I really wasn't having a dig as such, though I do freely admit to disliking him intensely. I never really liked Jamie either, even when he played for us, though his missus is probably the sweetest person I have ever met. Even the Evertonians loved her when she was in Liverpool, and that takes some doing! Seriously though, Harry is very much money motivated, doing charity work is often a way of improving you image and saving on tax. I know George Michael and Elton John used to pay a lot of money to keep an offshoot of Battersea Dogs Home running, that was purely on the advice of an accountant to gift an amount to charity to save tax. Charity work is not always altruistic!}

A lot of rumours have just started bubbling that Redknapp is out...

A lot of respect for Levy but can't help wonder what the long term plan is here and what benefit will be gained by letting Harry walk...

Tottenham have bid 11m for Marc Andre Ter Stegen.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I so hope this is true, massive talent and still 19. Thought we would get him for cheaper than that.

Agree1 Disagree0

This would be a dream signing would much prefer to see him coming through the ranks next season behind brad friedel, but unfortunately this is very unlikely and i doubt we would stump up the cash.

There is truth in the takeover rumours, Joe Lewis wants to sell. The Kharafi family, Aeg and others are interested.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

As I understand it the ENIC takeover was Levys idea, Joe Lewis backed Levys decision but has no love of football or any interest in Spurs. Whilst Levy still wants to run Spurs Lewis will back him, if Levy decides to sell then Lewis would be happy too!

Could any of the Eds please comment on the rumour of a takeover at WHL, some ITK's reporting that some Kuwait based businessmen in the process of negotiating with messrs Lewis and Levy. He is apparently the 29th richest person in the world....Thoughts please fellow Yids ! COYS

Much Love

ps. Wishing Dave mackay a speedy recovery ! {Ed002's Note - Since Philip Anschutz failed, I am not aware of anything in terms of a takeover.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Wow. This is like chinnese whispers, first I read that the main man is the 93rd richest man, then the 23rd now the 29th.

I assume it is all just a rumour.

I can see Harry being replaced by David Moyes. Modders will then be sold and will be replaced by one of Moyes' Everton favourites - Marouane Fellaini. Spurs' Belguim contingent to therefore grow further with one helping the other to settle in EPL.

One playmaker out and abroad (importantly) to PSG for £30 odd million, another one in for £15-18million and £12ish million in ENICs pocket = All board rooms happy.

But would the fans be happy? Let's hear your views.......

Flippit

Believable4 Unbelievable4

First of all yes to moyes would love him to manage spurs but don't think he offers much more than 'arry and would be just as happy to keep him.
Sell Modders, would love to keep him (who wouldn't) but this will be the same story every season until he leaves so cash in whilst he's still worth alot. Can't see any fans happy if we sold him and didn't spend every last penny improving the team but football is a business so let's face it they won't care what we think if they make some money out of the deal.
Basically no opinion either way but thought I'd comment as a very realistic post and good to hear someone talk sense on here.
Thanks for the fresh air flippit!!

Agree2 Disagree4

I could deal with that, or give Harry a new contract either way get the manager sorted and sell modric to PSG, so we can start getting players in and start building in a set direction!

Agree1 Disagree2

Moyes won't go to spurs and definitely not Fellaini because he wants to stay at Everton

Agree3 Disagree3

If we replaced modders with mophead the fans riot.....

Steed

Agree4 Disagree1

A lot depends on the accuracy of the Kharafi rumour. Assuming it is not true, then I would make a couple of observations.

Harry's position is probably right up in the air at present. He clearly wanted the England job to round off his career. Now that is no longer a possibility he is probably looking for one last big payday before retiring. If Levy won't give him the contract the he wants, he may jump ship for the Middle East.

It is not a question of loyalty. Fans talk a lot about loyalty, but don't show it themselves. For example. how loyal have we been to the man that rescued the club from possible relegation and gave us two top four finishes, a fifth place and the Quarter Final of the Champions League?

If Harry goes, there is a good chance that Moyes would replace him, but Moyes will have to confront the same realities as Harry. Tottenham is in much better shape than Everton and this would give him more room for manoeuvre than he has been used to, but we are still not able to compete financially with the other top clubs.

Flippit talks gloomily about the Board being happy to pocket £12m from the sale of Modric, but it is not the Board that will pocket the money, it is the club. Tottenham makes small profits one year which offset small losses another year. There isn't an ocean of cash slopping around White Hart Lane, just waiting to be spent.

In fact, Spurs has a net debt which last year stood at £57m. This debt is largely due to capital spending (on the new training ground and on the acquisition of land for the Northumberland Park Development) but it still has to be serviced and still has to be paid off.

Whoever takes over will have to work within a budget. Tottenham is not in a position to spend tens of millions on players and their wages just because they are 'flavour of the month'. Moyes's record suggests that he can do that.

Whether it is Harry or Moyes or somebody else next season, we should get behind them and applaud their successes, but not expect miracles.
KM

Agree3 Disagree2

I would b happy with that but would b just as happy to see harry stay no matter what we think of him he has done a good job for us no matter what happen us fans must just keep gettin behind the team and keep moving 4wd as a club thats what is most important to us fans

Agree2 Disagree1

In what alternative Universe did fellaini become a reasonable replacement for Modric or have I missed something.
Don't want Moyes ( not that he isnt a good manager) It's just that I would rather roll around naked in a field full of knettles than watch his style of football every wk.

Big-spending Paris Saint Germain have made a move for Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric.

PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti has identified Modric as one of his top targets this summer, and had scouts at Croatia’s win over the Republic of Ireland on Sunday.

It is believed the French side are ready to offer £30million-plus.

Flippit

Believable4 Unbelievable5

30 and Sakho, we'll take it.

Agree4 Disagree2

As much as I wouldn't what modric gone, this will never end until he gets his own way. So he does need to go, however if he ends up going to PSG, this shows he has no ambition and has moved for money, as the french league IMO is only just better the scottish PL. I know that most footballers are money motivated nowadays this surely would be a massive step back for modric?

THFC4EVER

Agree2 Disagree1

No way should we accept £30million from them, they're in the Man City bracket of the past 1-2yrs, they need to pay way above top-dollar to get top players to join them to reach that next level. It would be the best chance of getting £40million for him and getting him out of the Premiership as well if we are going to sell.

Agree1 Disagree1

Modric will not move to PSG he will stay in the prem or to a league that is just as competitive....tbh i think united will get him for round the 28m mark...

Agree2 Disagree2

You guys are deluded.... 30 million and sakho and 40 million.... get a life
