arsenal page saying they have seen negredo's representatives in london but don't know anything about him signing is he here for us ed's or am i just hopeful

derbyshire dave {Ed001's Note - I believe you are in pole position right now as things stand.}

Believable5 Unbelievable3

I ave a horrible feeling that he is going to that other lot in the north London. Levy just can't seem to see a Good thing when it slaps him in the face.
I don't think he will come to us. Really hope in wrong but bite we was never in for him.

Ed, any news on Negredo? Apparently the Seville chairman is speaking to a London club about his transfer. ?

Thanks {Ed001's Note - I believe the reports to be correct, that Spurs are in negotiations with Sevilla over a permanent transfer of one of their players. That is apparently definite. Who it is, well that is conjecture, but there is plenty of evidence out there and all is pointing towards Negredo.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Please let this be real, there is no way Levy or AVB will get to the end of the month without signing a striker. ADE is gone and when he is here hasn't exactly covered himself in glory. If ENIC wants AVB to stay they need to give him the tools ...and I think he has proven he is good enough through the first half of the season.

AVB saying it is likely we will sign Damiao.

Is Oracle finally going to get it correct?

WelshYid

Believable5 Unbelievable14

I believe avb said we will not likely to b signing damiao. I don't believe spurs will sign anybody. We get linked with everybody but never really get these okayers. I hope I'm wrong.

Rumors that Sevilla's boss is currently in London in order to finalize a deal with Tottenham for Negredo. $15MM

Believable7 Unbelievable8

Eds, what are the chances of this happening. Negredo is quality? {Ed001's Note - I have no idea about prices or anything, but I am very sure Spurs are in talks with Sevilla. Looks to be Negredo, but I have no idea who else is in for him. I would hope that the story is correct, it is the same person telling me you are talking with Spurs who told me AVB was first choice for new manager when everyone else was saying Moyes. So I think I can be confident it is truth, but I am trying to get some news from the Sevilla end to confirm it.}

It appears that M'vila wants to leave Rennes.

"He wants to leave, but if it doesn't happen, it will be next summer. It's no catastrophe.

"The club have received offers. I want to go but the deal has to be right for everyone. If it isn't, I will stay until the end of the season."

Maybe a cheeky bid of 5-8m. Couldnt hurt in my opinion and i think that quote is trying a little hard to get a fair value on a player who wants to leave.

Although i hear he has disciplinary problems....anyone know if its a Witsel or Balotelli style problem?

Could be like Witsel who had a bad rep(was crucified for two leg breaks) even though at 18-19 was rated best in the belgian league, went to Benfica for peanuts and we know the rest of the story.

Best suited to going to qpr and let harry sort him out

Agree3 Disagree2

I honestly don't think we would want him or more importantly need him, yes good player but we need to strenghthen in other area's good player though

If he can be bought equal or greater to Parker's value I think that would be a great move/upgrade

Reporting that QPR have won the race to sign Livermore on loan for the rest of the season

Should be a good opportunity to get some game time

AVB just stated it is highly likely we will sign Damiao.

Believable6 Unbelievable8

I saw this on but the article has been removed as far as I can tell.

It was Gary Jacob sports writer with the Times that tweeted "highly likely"

Agree5 Disagree2

They took the article down because they got their quotes from AVB and The Oracle mixed up

Agree5 Disagree4

Damiao not coming to spurs claimed by AVB himself ill be surprised if we get any striker at this rate and I think it will cost CL football once again we need 1 maybe 2 quality players in to finish top four a striker is a must the other an attacking creative player.

Agree3 Disagree2

He actually said it's "extremely unlikely"

Agree2 Disagree1

Gary Jacob's tweet featured a typo, he went on to say he meant 'unlikely.'

I'm not ITK but i have been told that it is spurs that the sevilla president is talking too about negredo.
from what i have been told the deal will be for about 15m, 10m upfront then extras if we get into the CL and if we win any cups. there could also be a player going the other way either on loan or for good, but do not know who it could be, would not be surprised if bentley was sent out to them till the end of the season then his contract would be up in the summer.

The Good News & The Bad News

Leandro Damiao will sign imminently is the good news, but I have to now make my biggest confession. You see whilst I was open with his transfer deal, I remain unconvinced that he is the world beater that the press would have you believe. For example Brazil scored 18 goal in recent friendlie, and Damiao managed just one of them with no assists. I accept he was substituted in some games, but overall he had more more minutes on the pitch than any other striker.

If we then review his goal scoring club record we find a ratio worse than Defoe and even Adebayor. Infact 2012 when reviewed in detail included one hattrick against a team called The Strongest in the Copa Libertadores. Some of the other goals where very scrappy, and some might argue fortunate.

His style is immensely powerful surging runs, and almost Sheareresk in his abilities. Loves to score from set pieces in the air, and also peeling off the back line to power through on goal. Technically his skills looked flat and limited, no Berbatov silky skills or Aguerro tricks.

The question is have we bought Brasils equivalent of Emile Heskey, or will Damiao prove to be a faster and stronger Alan Shearer. Olympic form was talking about the next Messi, but the last 12 months have been more like Heskey. Either way we will need to get used to him as he will be here very soon.

The Oracle

Believable6 Unbelievable10

Oracle.. I'm not going to bad mouth you blah blah blah... Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

But you say so much at least one thing must eventually be true... I used to like reading your posts but now know not to believe any of them..

If we don't (as i expect) get this guy it won't be for the lack of enthusiasm from the undeterrable oracle . whilst i would like damiao he is not the b all and end all of strikers out there he maybe one of the few available though and i hope the intelligent avb has other options which if he does he won't divulge. It is being reported that there is some discontent with ade so i a striker is our main concern and i would think there are a few options being quietly explored, i would definitely expect a striker soon not to cover ade but hopefully replace him.

I do love reading these posts, it just amuses me thinking of you sitting couped up in your room all alone, dreaming up these phrases with a smile on your face truly believeing that you have something to offer on this forum...I guess you do...allbeit merely for entertainment.

It does take a lot to google 'Damiao, Tottenham'.

Increased speculation has got you sold Oracle.

Thank you for this latest edition of tales.

The Olympics was not 12 months ago.
Most signings have risk look at Modric at Real. Especially as LD talents are not yet tested in the EPL.
Then a player has to settle into a new way if life as brazil and the uk are different words.

You are a deluded person who spends his time writing nonsense, why don't you get a life a give it a rest. Every source on the Planet says he ain't moving, we can't afford him, he don't want to move etc etc......All with the exception of you.

Agree1 Disagree3

Who would bet that Michu would make such an impact when he came from spain to EPL? Use it as an example.
DamiĆ£o shows great potential, even that his last 6 months were really bad in Brazil.
He's the guy that'll fit in AVB's system, maybe not this season, but probably in next.

Brazilian Yid

Agree1 Disagree8

Shame the consensus of reports this morning would suggest we haven't even tabled an offer ..but it could all, be smoke ...just like the Oracle.

Agree2 Disagree4

Brazilian yid- if you use the fact that nobody knew that Michu would be so good when he came to the premiership, all that emphasises is how difficult it is to guess how good a player will be when he transfers. Meaning that spending £20+ million on Leandro Damiao is, if anything, an even bigger risk than we thought in the first place.

Agree2 Disagree3

Brazilian people last Post; could have been written by Levy himself!

Alas, I for one have given up hoping for this signing -

However, why not the Spanish Negrado if he can be signed for the 12mill stated? Actually I would even be happy with Huntalaar if the stories of him only being signed was for a sale fee..

Anyway, i cannot believe the press story that we will try and cope with only Defoe, if he gets injured our season could go down the drain!

Agree3 Disagree2

Strange....I never thought I'd find an Oracle comment I agree with

Moutinio and zaha will join before the end of the transfer window can't complain one of them is the finished article and the other has bags of potential i have also herd that an offical bid has now been made for zaha while the club is still arguing the point with porto that moutinio wvalue has decreased since the last window porto are not an easy club to deal with.

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Whats your source? everywhere says zaha heading to man u.

Wonder if Alvero Negredo is on the radar? He has apparently alerted Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham about his availability and says he is ready to move to the EPL. How does he compare to Damaio?
