According to newspaper reports which are normally b/s inter want walker in return for oscar..
levy,s attitude of thats my price take or leave it is coming back to haunt him as other teams know spurs are desperate for strikers.
very unlikely you will sign sturridge or lukakka chelsea dont need to sell and the spuds policy of trying to unsettle players under arrys regime wont work ..
you will more than likely sign carrol on loan which will free up cash for other buys..
Believable4
Unbelievable9
First it's Cesar and second he's a goal keeper. And third walker ain't for sale never mind in swap with money for a 30+ plus keeper inter has some cheek if true!!
Agree4
Disagree3
Oscar? Who plays for chelsea? Also the walker link was with inter of Italy not Brazil?

Meantr to say cesar my mistake

Internacional just signed the striker Rafael Moura from Fluminese.
Maybe its a sign that DamiĆ£o is leaving Porto Alegre after the Olympics
Believable5
Unbelievable5
I can't find any story saying they have signed him, only that they are interested, any proof?

That's intresting if true .....
Agree2

I guarantee he is leaving, after his Olympics performance.
Shame he won't be coming to us though.
We will sneak in a quiet one, maybe a huntellar or someone like that.
Agree3

Just spoken to a close friend of Levy's and he has told me that Damiao is def not coming to spurs this season. The ade deal will be sorted before the newcastle game and there are NO other signings planned signings but if a good deal comes up Levy will have a look, make of this what you want.

/ Lol yeah sneak him in the back door when no-ones looking, chuck a duvet over his head.. no will know who it is, i will keep look out foy ya
Agree2

"Just spoke to a close friend of levy's" I highly doubt that for many reasons!

^^^ levy strikes me as they guy that doesn't have close friends. Just business partners.

Exactly what I think, they also have Diego Forlan so I expect he'll move. Can you give us any info on potential signings Ed's will this weekend be 'very busy'. Thanks {Ed002's Note - Weekends are not busy.}

Looks like damiao is staying at inter after there president said 60 million euros we can have him for theres no hope in hell we can afford him,we shud of bought him two years ago when we had the chance for alot cheaper only for DL was messing about 2 much,so who will it be now then were after? my thoughts are ade and sturridge more then likely which wont be bad if it is 2 premier league experiance strikers and both in the one team could be banging in goals, another name could be Lorente but big clubs with big wallets will surely get him
Believable2
Unbelievable2
Ok...we only started being linked with him last summer, when he was still raw and inter were asking way too much for someone as unproven as he was. Since then he has exploded, and that's just our bad luck
Agree2
Disagree2
There president is a bigger piss taker than Levy ,like to see them two bartering over players!!
Agree3
Disagree2
Apparently he has a £18 million release clause..
Agree1
Disagree1
I've just read the story and it doesn't say anything about euros or pounds it just says 60 m so I'm guessing it means the Brazilian currency R$ in which case 60 m works out about £19ish mill
hoose
Agree2
Disagree0
I think he meant 60 million brazilian reals which is around 18 million pounds which he is well worth get a move on levy and get him.
Agree2
Disagree0
City and chelsea and utd/ liverpool/newcastle are all currently looking at strikers and maybe arse as well if rvp leaves so going to be alot of compo for strikers
Agree0
Disagree0
I would love in this was true that the press just go OMG 60m that must be either pounds or dollars ....
We can handle 19 m £ xD hell we did 16 for

AVB is going to TRY and get Bale to develop more as a roaming wing-forward to get the same amount of goals as a striker. He sees him as potentially as good as Ronaldo and AVB can certainly get him playing the same way. 20+ goals from him this season would be GOLDEN.
Believable7
Unbelievable5
Bale is a very good player, but to compare him to Ronaldo is a joke.
Agree6

As good as Ronaldo. Ha ha ha. That is brilliant. Delusion at its finest.
Agree6
Disagree5
Defo not as good as ronaldo but in a few years time who knows? he is definitely one of the best wingers in the world and probably the best in the prem league
Agree7
Disagree5
El Desperado! This needs to be in addition to having two decent 'lead the line' front men on our books!

Bale is excellent bombing up & down the left hand side. End of story.

As the squad currently stands, what would people's starting XI be for the Newcastle game?
(4-2-3-1) Friedel-Walker-Kaboul-Vertonghen-BAE-VDV-Livermore(assuming Sandro isn't ready)-Lennon-Sigurdsson-Bale-Defoe.
Not as bad an outlook as some on here have suggested, but obviously need a top class centre forward and someone capable of playing as a deep-lying playmaker (although VDV, Sigurdsson and Huddlestone are all capable).
Do any of the eds know how likely it is we will have done some business in these areas before the 18th?
Believable1
Unbelievable2
This team will have goal droughts against half decent opposition, there's just not the strength and work-rate up front to make the most of the play-making ability in there. We want TWO top strikers for the season to lead the line with 35-40 goals between them AND then the likes of Bale, VDV, Sig chipping in with more goals to keep us up there, not relying on the latter for all our goals. It would not be enough and it will not work throughout the season, no way.
Agree6
Disagree1
Why can't Sandro play the final if i'm right is tomorrow, so he has a week before the start of the season?
Marc
Agree2
Disagree0
I think Sandro wil be ready, he's already at match fitness and he's such a classy player that I think it won't matter too much he hasnt had a lot of time in avb's system
Agree3
Disagree0
Friedel
walker vertonghen kaboul bae
vdv Parker sigurdsson
bale adebayor lennon
that would get goals
4-3-3
Agree1
Disagree4
Given that parker just had surgery I doubt he will be playing against Newcastle.
Agree3
Disagree0
And given Ade isn't our player either might make him playing tricky!
Agree2
Disagree1
Playing the AVB highline is filling me with dread. I have a horrible feeling we will regret sacking Harry. So far no Harry, no Ledley, injured Parker, Modric sulking, Adebayor not signed up & one striker!
Agree1
Disagree0
No Arry , parker injured , no Ade , Modric sulking , if you ask me I am a very happy spurs supporter ! Wont miss any of these at all , except Ledders !!
Davo
Agree2
Disagree4
Modric likely to start against newcastle, knows if he puts in a s*** hot performance someone might part with 40 million haha
Agree0
Disagree0
So you think modders will be match fit for the newcastle by all accounts he is training on his own and i wouldnt expect him to train with the squad until he has spoken to levy/avb thats if the move doesnt go through

Lukaku to be announced tomorrow with a loan move 80k a week with another striker, possibly nilmar i'm hearing
Believable2

Lukaku hates AVB for not playing him enough at Chelsea, but I would love it to be true.

Nilmar signed for a new club 1 month ago. That would b a new world record for shortest time at a club lol

I hear he's joining to have a scrap with AVB.

Anyone think this nilmar gossip has anything to do with Qatar investment ?
Agree3

As said Lukaku wasn't happy with AVB at Chelsea so unlikely to want to join him now
Nilmar joined Al Rayyan in July on a 4 year deal, so neither will happen
Shame I liked Nilmar
Agree3

£80k a week for a guy that couldn't get a game at last year's 6th place team? I know we're desperate but this isn't good enough.

If he aint good enough fo chelsea whys he good enough for us?

Sturridge and Carroll apparently are the 2 main targets, also Modric having talks with AVB right now!!
I don't see these as star signings
Believable7
Unbelievable7
Sturridge ok not to bad but carrol no thanks we will have to change are shape to much and i dont see him as a 25+ goals a season man damiao would be ( but price to high ) ade well we will have to wait and see . time is running out unless theres something we all dont know ?
Agree3

Neither are the main targets, but who knows who might be if we go much longer without tying up a deal for one or two that are.
It's getting pretty desperate

I think all our main targets are out of reach now, hope to be proved wrong but I doubt we will get anyone that excites to be honest

Daniel Sturridge signing this weekend for 8.5 M with Ade finally following, possibly the same day ...
I beleive we are looking for a new GL (Ceasar) and an option on the wing ...
Rumours are a big few days at the lane before the start of the season. (investment ?)
Levy intent on not letting Rat Boy ruin the preparation to the new season .... Let him rot (if we can afford it !) and spend big and let Real come crawling on the 31st
Skidz14
Believable3
Unbelievable9
I wouldnt be at all suprised about Sturridge but any fee would be way above £8.5 million. Most newspapers suggest that Liverpool are interested as well and the fee is in the region of £15 million. Sturridge is young and English so will come with a premium. Bear in mind that Chelsea dont need the money and DL played hardball over Moderic.
Sturridge is arrogant, selfish and unpredicdable. He dislikes working for the team and when he tracks back (which is rare) he gives away silly fouls.
A signing of this type of player smacks a little of desperation and with a wage already of about £60k a week so will be expecting that sort of wage or as the bar is now set higher at Spurs he will be looking for more and quite simply he is not worth it.
Agree5
Disagree2
There is as much chance AS the second coming of jesus christ big investment some hope and no hope can't understand why people still think we sign ADE when we can't afford him so that blows your fifa 13 rumor away.
Agree0
Disagree0
I'm not quite sure why people are so down on modric at the moment, I mean he has wanted to leave the club for a while now and still played on all of last season I can understand why he is frustrated wanting to leave a club but we won't sell (even when reasonable bids come in). Personally I would like us to sell to real for 30m if that's what we have been offered and make use of it somewhere else. As much as I would like to get 40mil I think it is a bit unrealistic.
