Have been watching Spurs for 30 years and never has it felt more like watching paint dry! I know the pitch is horrific and we only need a point but can't remember the last time I was excited by a Spurs performance. Think the whole banter page reflects where we all are at the moment! Losing faith rapidly.

did you watch the game against Everton?

This was never going to be an overnight fix. The last few years the management of the club has been poor and confusing. Poch is picking up the pieces and I think he's doing a decent job. This season was always going to be about transformation of the team, in the players, the attitude, and the style.

This half of the season is about assessing the squad to see who can stay and who should go. In January we should look to make a couple of changes in thee right direction.

Expect a lot more odd performances and disappointing results. The point is to get a cohesive team and a good run in the last 10 games of the season to put us in place for next season.

Don't lose faith, just postpone it for another 8 months.

top response Wulf, spot on

I did watch the Everton game and yes it was better but it certainly wasn't great! Everton should have got a point out of the game at the very least! Wulf I respect your views as every post I have read of yours makes sense but I'm afraid I don't share your confidence in the Poch! A seriously unproven manager!

Some folk on here don't like the fact that it is a transitional season.

Southampton have adapted to their new manager quickly yes but maybe his tactics aren't as hard to get used to as Pochettino's.

Lets see who we get in January and who we can sell and then judge Poch next season, with the players he wants who knows what we could achieve if his pressing game works and Poch will be having a say in any transfers its in his contract.

Do you know for a fact MoPo has a say Spurski? That said I find it hard to believe he wouldn't have a say . but then I've seen Benjie have a good performance and can't make the bench for any PL games. Then puts in another good shift when played again . surely if MoPo "approved" the signing he would be getting time in the PL games.

Yellowcard, The problem is people on here have no idea how these things work. You can tell by reading posts that most fans believe it's the DOF who buys the players. This is a strong misconception as his job is purely to negotiate the ins and outs of players. I'm not going to go into detail as it's way to complex but the bottom line is basically, no manager/coach chooses his own players he only chooses the style of player he wants and is given a list. All the big clubs work this way with no exceptions.

{Ed001's Note - simply not true, clubs all have different ways of working and the DoF has various remits throughout football, depending on the particular club's vision. As for a manager/coach not choosing players, then being given a list, why is he being given a list if he is not choosing? Or are you saying he only gets to choose from a list given to him? If so, how is that any different from what has always been done, but just a head scout giving a list of players to suit the style wanted? The manager/coach will still take a look at a list and maybe watch a few videos or go and watch the players he likes live and then pick from that.}

Not as a fact but I never said it was a fact.

He has said in various interviews that he has a say in transfers and he no doubt will to suit his tactics.

" and Poch will be having a say in any transfers its in his contract."

Reads like someone that is stating a known fact to me.
