thats more like it. the whole team were excellent today. for the first time I seen players giving 100 per cent. the defence are much better without rose naughton and kaboul. and erikksen bossed the midfield we are now on a roll let's go to the bridge on wednesday and shut up the rich boys UP THE SPURS

Fully agree, every player gave100%,a real team effort.Well pleased for Bobby Soldado to get what turned out to be the winner. Also great to see the home grown players make such terrific contributions.Keep it up boys.

Well let's hope we have a good result on Wednesday.
Yesterday was the best performance this season by far.
Keep Dembele out of the midfield & we look more solid. Bentaleb played well. I for one hope we keep the same team.

One thing I would also like to add. Keep playing Lennon & drop Lamela. Lennon provide pace & natural width.

Infact sell Lamela.

I also think Lennon provides added cover on the RH side where we are arguably the weakest in the back 4 currently - assuming Davis is hitting his stride now on the left.

hopefully MoPo picks much the same side, they earnt the right to play together again, which will also improve on field instincts.

I'd go with Kane and Soldado even though I'm uncomfortable with closing down the middle of the park. Shutting down Oscar, Hazard and Wilian is going to be a task. But Sunderland showed how to do it and we can play like that as we did against the Gooners, which was arguably our second best performance of the season after Saurday.

We need Walker back, Naughton is a league one player at a push. I don't like bashing our players, but it's been noticeable for a good couple of years now.

I know Walker struggled last year, and I do believe that he has some big lapses in concentration which he needs to work on. But not being next to Dawson, and needing to cover him in a ridiculously high line, we should see the Walker who burst on the scene under Redknapp.

Physioroom.com says Walker will be ready to return on 6 December. That will be a boost to our squad, but he will need some time to get his match fitness back.

In the meantime, Naughton is not great, but he is much better than 'League One at a push'. That is not just my judgement.

Before he started to get games for us, we loaned him out to several Championship sides. On two separate occasions he was voted into the Championship team of the year.

I think people are still judging Naughton on his performances at Left Back, when he did look completely out of his depth. As a Right Back he is OK.

{Ed001's Note - Walker has been back playing for the development squad or is due to be playing tonight for them, I forget which. But he is available now, just nowhere near match fit.}

Is ok enough? Even at right back he is an accident waiting to happen. If Yedlin does come in January then I reckon Naughton will be sold.

For me, OK means he is not really what we want as our first choice but that he is not an accident waiting to happen.

As for Yedlin, he is just a name at present. I have no idea how good he might turn out to be. All last season people were telling me that Lamela was top class and I had no reason to disagree. Now we have actually seen him a few times we can see that he has strengths and weaknesses (like most players) but he is still far from being top class. In fact, his performance against Everton was poor and his attitude was wretched.

I agree KM

Who's knows if Yedlin will turn out to be a great player. The premiership is full on week in week out.
As for Lamela his attitude is dreadful, perhaps we need to tell him stay on the left wing & go on the outside. but for me personally I don't think he will cut it in the premiership.

I hope you are wrong but fear you are right.
