Remember how much stick the gooners gave when we won the carling cup? all the it being a second rate competition an all that! well they didn't win and im now feelin more than a little smug and a bit warm inside! seriously how many more trophyless years are you gonna have before you realise wengers more intrested in the boys than winning a trophy! at least we have the balls to sack an under performing manager (an god knows we have had a few!). but well done birmgham, obifemi is now a honorary yid!

May I take this opportunity to pity all our Gooner chums who frequent this side of the fence. Despite your preening, p*ss taking and constant jibes that your "team" is the No1 club in North London, you have, yet again failed to win anything, in this case, the Two Bob cup.
Before you show your red faces here again, please take a moment to listen to one of your all time great players, Paul Merson who, unlike you, has the integrity and honesty to tell it how it actually is.
Thank you.
PS: Well done Birmingham!

Aguero will sign for spurs at the end of the season even though a previous bid was rejected. gabriel heinze will also sign.

Aguero is on over 100k a week no way spurs could even dream of paying that kind of wage

dream on mate

Deano95

Cant or wont?
If you seriously believe that Spurs couldnt afford to pay him over £100,000 a week then you are living in Cloud Cuckoo land. The club is wealthy, solvent and relatively debt free. Its fair to say that Spurs are only one of a handful of clubs who could afford that kind of wage.
I suspect that Deano95 pertains to the fact that you were born in 1995 making you a whole 16 years old. Perhaps you ought to grow up before you start making silly statements. . .better still ask for the ed to comment on your post, he would have put you right on this one.

{Ed002's Note - It is not just £100k per week - it is £100k plus per week after tax. It equates to something in the order of £200k per week.}

Actually the tax factor isn't relevant, the tax benefit that foreign players get in Spain is only for 5 years and in summer Aguero will have completed that as he joined AM in May 2006.

I'm not saying that it means he'll sign for Spurs, simply that the compensating for different taxes is not a factor.

Spurs made a bid in January knowing Aguero's salary, I don't see that as something that would stop any deal only the player himself deciding where he wants to go or for that matter stay

wowwww keep it up. spuds guys. . u have that habit of making us laugh. .

and ur there again. .keep going Aguero , kaka, forlan, lorrente . .and on and on

All true.
Ive gotta say, hand on heart, I like Merson. He is a top pundit, no bull, says what he thinks and, even tho he has admitted that it kills him to, he has said good things about us.
Now shoot me for liking a Gooner.

Yeh i do agree with you, it was a massive error missing out on a proven goalscorer. plus the injuries doesn't help us one bit.

taking top 4 with the squad we have had throughout the season would be a good achievement.
the majority of premierleague defenders are better at coping with big strikers because like you said its a more physical and competitive league however al due respect to blackpool, i just can't see teams like that being able to cope with him. you have to know when to use them diagonal balls to crouchy because it won't work everygame. utd, chelsea, 8 times out of 10 will council them balls out. crouch's biggest advantage is his height it should be used wisely against teams like blackpool, westbrom, wigan etc that's when you will see him score and influence games.

i think its safe to say none of our strikers are good enough. i too like pav but if anyones to leave it would be him. ijust hope next season we go and get that world class clinical finisher every tottenham hotspur fan has been dreaming of.

harry had around 40 million to spend in january, that could rise significantly if we offload the likes of keane, bentley, ohara, pav. . . we'll just have to wait and see the outcome of this season.

24 Feb 2011 14:04:25
Ed i would recall dos santos and take a gamble on him, we have nothing to lose. then again i don't know how the 25 man squad works and if he can be including this late. {ed's note - is he not still young enough to not need to be included? I forget whether he is under 21 or not.}

24 Feb 2011 11:17:23
Out of all 3 strikers crouch is the only one hassling defenders because of his height. he had a top game in milan, not just the goal but his whole performance. he was on a high only to be dropped by harry. yes i agree that crouch can be useless at times but at least if none of the strikers are scoring crouchy could use his height to an advantage by causing havoc in the blackpool game.
pav is utterly useless, defoe, although i like the lad can not score for ****. both these players should be dropped from the squad. we havnt got time to wait till they hit form, this part of the season is crucial. why not give DOS SANTOS a go? ill put my money on him scoing more goals then pav and defoe altogether. play crouchy and santos upfront.
since defoes injury he hasnt been the same but that is no excuse, he has had time to get back on his feet. around 10 chances has fallen at his feet this season and he has MUFFED them all up. .NOT good enough. one word. .DROPPED.

don't forget we have played the majority of the season with big players out. i can't think of that day when we actually put out a full strengh spurs squad.

why krancjer has been droped i do not know. why dos santos hasnt been given a chance i do not know, why he always plays bassong i do not know. recall walker to right back. he has a massive future.
their are things harry could do but he see's right through them.
. . . . . . . . . . crouch
. . . . . . . . . . . . . .d.santos
krancjer. modric. . . .palacios. . . lennon
ekotto. . .dawson. . .gallas. . . . walker
. . . . . . . . . . . .gomes

would you not give that team a chance with all our injuries going on at the moment.

I think, respectfully, you are missing a point. Crouch has been blinding in Europe because european defences don't know how to handle him. There are very few strikers playing in Europe that are over 6ft 4 let alone 6ft7. want proof? 6ft 8inches of Nikola Zigic. Free scoring in Europe and has bombed with Birmingham City. the Premiership is far more competitive and the defenders are far better at coping with big strikers. Crouch was figured out eons ago, defenders win, at least 70% of balls in the air off of him. Defoe? totally agree with you, he is not good enough. Pav? I like him, true, he isn't scoring, then again how much of an extended run has he had? He is decent in the air, can hold the ball up and is skillful enough to go past players and pass the ball. Question is "Is he good enough for spurs?" I have to say, probably not. I think the Blackpool game highlighted one thing. We have a good squad but, because the strikers are not scoring enough goals, we are reliant on them coming from elsewhere. Van der Vart has hit the target plenty of times, so has Bale. Both were out of the game at Blackpool so where were the goals supposed to come from?
It was a serious error not to have signed a proven goalscorer in January and that may stop us getting champions league football next season. Then again, you would be stupid to bet against us in the Champions league. . .

Yet again another bad team selection from harry. fair enough we have kaboul, huddlestone, VDV, bale, corluka, hutton, woodgate, king and more out but that does not mean he has to pick the most pathetic team in history. why are you going to play pav when crouch has already showed in milan that he is on form? krancjar? yet he plays BASSONG(worse then senderous). stick gallas at CB and play palacios right back for FFS. SANDRO WITH MODS.

pav and defoe are pathetic. defoe wake up you prick

Crouch in form?!?! Are you serious? He got a tap in against Milan. In the league he is hopeless, he couldnt score in a brothel.
We needed a world class striker and we failed to get one, that's why we spent most of the match all over them but couldnt put the ball in the net.
To the Gooners, remember losing to WBA, Newcastle and us at home? How about only drawing with lowly Wigan away? Maybe you might remember throwing away a four goal lead against Newcastle? No? Short memory?
Maybe just a selective memory. . .

David moyes is a good manager but not for spurs. i remember reading someone say a top world class manager would attract the best players for the club this is true.

jose mourinho's spell at madrid isn't going to well so you can never rule him out. he has the likes of bale modric VDV at the club to work with and with a little bit of magic and the right signings he could possibly turn us into champions as he did with chelsea.

spurs need character, we don't need a boring face, someone like jose or coyle would fit in perfectly. the way coyle motivates the players on the touchline and has a laugh with them at the right times is truly great.
having said all that i prey with all my heart redknapp remains as spurs manager, he can create history with us.

everyone knows the media hype up england and their chances of winning but they always always fail. that's what englands all about, the media talk the talk and england can't walk the walk. i don't recall any other country being soo bigheaded about their national side but england. we get up all in your faces through the media only to be embaressed by weak oppistition then straight away back to square one. .is the manager doing the right thing. this will be the downfall for redknapp and his carear. he has the chance to stay on and become a legend at the club or he can move to england (for the money) and fail miserably.

I just saw this in the 'Daily Telegraph'

Lampard Desperate for Redknapp to mange England.

The Tottenham Hotspur manager is becoming the overwhelming favourite to succeed Fabio Capello, and his stock rose even further this week when he led his side to a 1-0 win against AC Milan in the San Siro in the last 16 of the Champions League.

"It's for him and the FA to decide but it would be nice if it were an English manager, " said Lampard. "At the moment, Harry's doing a fantastic job at Spurs and if he has an opportunity to manage England, I'm sure he'd be an outstanding manager.

This is how it begins. First the red carpet is laid down in the media, then the inevitable happens. I'm telling you. . Moyes is on his way to spurs.

Lets simplify this

beating barcelona at HOME, by a one goal margin, spending most of the game chasing your visitors shadows, whilst barca created chance after chance.this after numerous years of experience in the champions league[or the runners up league as i call it] and its specific demands

or

beating ac milan, by one goal with no goal conceded, AWAY from home, whilst completely dominating the game, despite having several of your strongest players unavailable for selection due to injuries.this during your debut year in the same competition.

17 Feb 2011 17:56:50
Your Milan victory looks average now Arsenal beat possibly "the best team in history". Whos laughing now, Pride of North London my @rse. Pride of London Arsenal. Pride of England Arsenal.

You go on about not challenging for things, always finishing 2nd and then you go and say THIS in the very next sentance. .

"This is the second season that we have been challenging for a top four place"!

ha ha ! Joke in itself mate! Arsenal have been there 13 years on the bounce!

Your team in a joke, your manager is a crook and your fans are very fickle!

Hope AC Milan show you how crap your team really is.

A top 4 challenge. . quite an achievment for a small club like Spurs! Especailly when you've only just broke into the top 10! LOL!

So you DO edit peoples posts!
So next time somebody complains that their post has not got onto the forum ( mine more than once and im not the only one and yes, ive checked my end. .) despite, your assertions that you "never received them" are they to believe that they genuinely have gone missing in cyberspace or are they to assume one maverick ed didn't like it so tossed it in the bin?
Are we on a level playing field here? Do you want half intelligent banter or illiterate ramblings by cyber warriors? Is it worth me coming here to post?
Oh, the Bootle/ Beirut analogy? Who is that going to offend? We are football supporters and tribal with our territory, insults, go with the turf like mother in law jokes. If you can't make jokes about your own country something is VERY wrong.
Jeez, i was liking this place too. . . .
Yours disappointed
Superyid
PS: Ive added my name and e'mail, im a real person, reasonably intelligent, not always right and passionate about football, probably just like you are! {ed's note - we did have a lot of problems with posts not going through, but we think we have solved that now. We would just say if it was offensive and so left out, that way people can learn not to post the same kind of thing again. As for the rest, if you don't like what you see no one makes you come here, it is that simple. There is a reason why things are edited, we would prefer not to have to edit anything, but you are only seeing what is let through, not the tonnes of rubbish we have to sift through.}

Ha jahahahha ha hhaahahhaahha ha hhahaa classic spurs fan getting angry over nothing cos spurs are awful and never challenge or win ANYTHING btw arsenal won the cup in 05 so their last trophy was 05 I'm a Liverpool fan! I'm from bootle! I love strawberry fields! But yeah I'm rooting for spurs to get 4th teacher Nando a lesson!

We are awful? WTF does that make Liverpool?!?!
Winning a Cup 6 years ago is no measure of success, Im quite aware of when Arsenal last won something, which incidentally, was the year before Liverpool last won anything and three years earlier than when we last won something ( you keeping up with me son?) Basically, out of the three clubs WE were the last side to have won any bloody thing!

How many point behind are you STILL?

Is it really 50 years without a title?

AC Milan will SMASH you and embarass you. You're a very small fish in a very big pond!

Incidently. .when was the last time Spurs even challenged for the league? We do it every year!

Arsenal are bigger, better, richer.

You'll be back to mid table obsurity soon.

Harry either locked up or will **** you off when the England job becomes available!

Keep dreaming the dream, you might be on Arsenals level in a decade or two! Muha !

Cammy3000

What is the f*****g point of all that?!?!
Arsenal have won NOTHING since 2004! Im quite prepared to take banter from supporters of teams that have been more successful in the last 7 years but i certainly won't accept crap from supporters whos team is for ever being the Bridesmaid and not the Bride. So you "challenge for the league" every year? So does all the other Premiership sides and you have failed to win it just like 99% of those teams too. Very successful at it arent you! So when will Arsenal actually win anything? You really think your lack of success is something to boast about? This is the second season that we have been challenging for a top four place and, at this moment both Chelsea and Spurs will overtake City IF we win our game in hand. I, personally don't give a sh*t about Arsenal, im one of the many Yids who don't consider you to be important enough to me to worry about, hey, i can't even be arsed to "Stand up if you hate Arsenal!". . . . . I don't care fella, not at all.
I mean, you aint going to win the title this season, are you!
I know there are t**t yids out there who post similar crap on the Gooners banter forum, perhaps if they stopped acting like 2 year olds, perhaps you would too? Just wondering, like.

WEST HAM beat you to a proper stadium?
They are obviously a bigger club

a kid that runs his mouth and doesn't know whats going on in football. westham won the rights to have an athletics stadium so that makes them a bigger club then us. do your research looser. their owners clearly do not give a sh** about the supporters, keeping a running track and allowing access by loads of people everyday. westham met pathetic points. would you keep a running track? would you allow cricket to be played on your pitch? would you allow access by almost everyone? you do not combine football with athletics the stadium will have a dead atmosphere. westham won because they are WEAK.

Forever in your shadow!

I'm guessing you support the scum. .

5 years without a trophy. .
Beaten 3-2 in your own backyard. .
4-0 up against the Geordies, what happened. .

Good Luck in the League Cup (although I though it didn't matter), as unfortunately your champions league dreams are over for another year, whilst your best player wants to leave. Goodbye Cesc!

So Spurs are such a massive club that will sign Kaka, Aguero, Rossi, Beckham, Forlan. .etc. etc. .

. .yet WEST HAM beat you to a proper stadium?

They are obviously a bigger club!

One season wonders getting put in their place. Harry goin down for a artful tax dodger! Tut Tut!

St Totterings day approachs! YAY!

You are correct, it IS a proper stadium, its a proper ATHLETICS stadium! It will destroy West Ham and, as much as i hate the club, it will destroy the enjoyment of all those Spammers who will have to pay through the nose to watch their beloveds through a pair of binoculars. Brilliant stuff.
Cammy, you are a t**t but you made me laugh, kids jokes always do.
SuperYid
PS: read my previous reply to another c**kspanner. Spurs will be in the money big time, the Gooners made a fortune selling Highbury and we will make oh so much more selling WHL AND all the surrounding land we have bought up. The only Shadow we will ever be in is Hank f*****G Marvins.

Yes poor tottering totties, West Ham put Levy and the rest into a Big Sulk and Rednappe (you know the honest man, haha) has been told he Cannot have the Tax evasion charges dropped, Wonderful and about time too, ask some of the Previous clubs he has managed.

Sulk?!?! Do you REALLY think that Levy thought we had a chance of winning the bid?
He has bought up swathes of land around WHL a damn site cheaper than he would have had to fork out had we not been in the middle of a recession and when, not if, things pick up, he will have prime land to sell on that will be worth a f*****g fortune! Levy maybe many things but stupid he aint! How else does he take a club consistently into the top 12 richest clubs in world football with such a moderate ground capacity. . and im talking about before we got the champions league money. Spurs will move and will possible look towards the M25 corridor which will be cheaper and still allow good access via road and public transport. Im sure that there are local councils around said corridor who would jump at the chance of having a famous Premier league club set up there. I doubt very much that the costs involved would be more than relocating to the Spammers new stadium and considerably less than he will sell on the land and the old WHL for.
Do the maths! !
As for Redknapp, I doubt if he is the only one who could be accused of taking bungs, Ian Holloway is due a kick back on a players transfer ( morally wrong) and im sure there are a few french clubs that can accuse the Gooners of underhand tactics by signing their young talent away from them. Corruption? Probably rife, always has been, always will be.
You know the saying, people who live in glass houses. . .

End of Season:

-As previously stated Kaka is a target for Tottenham, who are looking for a big name signing to prove themselves as a massive club. This is in hope of OS backing, big players staying at the club and a title challenge in the following season.

He is no longer a first team regular, after his injury and wants to renew his love of the game at a club with heart. It is rumoured Tottenham could pay up to 30-35mil for him.

-Another Madrid player interesting Tottenham is Benzema who is unwanted at Real. Currently Real only have 3 strikers (Higuain, Benzema and Adebayor), so he couldn't leave in January. Llorente or Aguero will sign for Real, alongside Adebayor permenantly in the summer with the frenchman forced out. Previously quoted price of 15mil.

In order for this to happen, Keane, Bentley, O'Hara and Giovani will all leave for good to their loan clubs (West Ham, Birmingham, Wolves and Santander), at a combined 22mil (5, 9, 4, 4). Pavlyuchenko and Kranjcar will also be sold for approx 16mil. Others may leave including Palacios, with Juve and Wolfsburg interested.

No, the joke of the year the appalling use of the English language "wot u di rite". Im going to assume that you are one of our foreign contributors so, tell me, whats the word on the streets of Calcutta?
Laughing stock? To who? Man U supporters who lost to bottom of the table Wolves? The Gooners for throwing away a FOUR goal lead? Maybe you mean Chelski the overspenders?
As for Liverpool, its a honeymoon period, still defensive and midfield issues to deal with (although Kenny will resolve that, and in particular Steve Clarke, who is a brilliant coach) and Man City are too hit and miss to have any of their supporters form a considered opinion.
Now go and play with your toys and let the grown ups discuss Football because you know absolutely h**k all about it.

Fair enough i may have come across as a bit harsh so i do apologise for that.
we needed a striker it was clear for everyone to see.
like you said we should have stuck with one player and signed him instead of having 5 on our list!
redknapp did have a list of players he wanted but the clubs put crazy valuation on these players.
would you have payed 30 million for rossi with a chance we might not make top 4 next season. HELL NO (no different to defoe) 15 mill for forlan? the grandad. .or 12 million for fabiano who because of his age has no time to settle in to the premierleague pace! i don't think you can fualt redknapp for not signing anybody can you? so in respect im sure alot of fans can respect that!
in the end i was glad we never signed anybody! our current squad is very strong, if we didn't have big big injuries we would be higher in the league then we are now! peoples opinions would be different!
i too get frustrated when redknapp plays that lankey git, i don't think hes sh*t but for a guy so tall his heading ability is awfull, and in recent games its like he wasnt even on the pitch! his height only comes as an advantage to us 1 in 5 games, that's how inconsistent he is so in someways i can agree with you with the whole redknapp situation and how he picks and plays players out of position!
aguero and diarra in the summer. .ill prey

I agree with your point about over valued players, £30 million for Rossi is a joke, HOWEVER, in the great scheme of things £15 million for a player that lit up the World cup, is experienced, can score goals at all levels, knows what the premiership is all about and still has the legs to play in it, is chicken feed! We should have gone for Forlan IMHO, somebody who would have hit the ground running and, worse case scenario, if we only had his ability for two seasons, it would have been a seriously cheap value option. As for him being called Grandad?!?! he is 32 in May, bloody hell, if that is old, even in Football terms, id best order a coffin for myself!
Anyway, we all want the same thing, success, im just questioning the thinking behind things and I do wonder if Levy, who is utterly ruthless in getting what he wants, won't think twice about moving Redknapp on if he truly believes that he cannot move us to the next step.
We shall see. .

stop criticising redknapp. you are cluless. your turning into them arsenal fans who non stop criticise wenger and want him out.
didnt redknapp sign teves and mascerano? did he not bring them to a MUCH lower league team then us. yes we needed a striker but its a matter of time that are fowards start firing! in the CL, teams do not know how to handle peter crouch and once defoe finds his feet we shall be ok. DONT forget we have played the whole season without a full squad AND STILL harry has us in touching distance!
imagine the amount of money we will have if we finish top 4 this season!
harry will sign a world class player for spurs, january is just the hardest time to negotiate.
Listen, what ever thoughts you have in your brain about harry is nonsense.
i don't see how we are going to go backwards if we don't have a world class manager to attract worldy. Bale, modric, VDV are player whom individually can attract top players! harry redknapp is a top man, he knows what hes doing! harry can attract world class players and has proved it before. hes one manager known to bring out the confidence in players and help them get back on their feet.

i have total respect for harry and what he is doing, big big players out through injury, sitting 5th and in touching distance of 4th.
''''''is he a mid table manager that got lucky?''''''. . . IDONT think so

Think before you speak Sir! Gooners are critical of Wenger because he has won f**k all in years. As much as i hate them, I am big enough to concede that a club the size of Arsenal should have been winning things under Wenger, whether it be The Premiership or the two bob cup. Despite the fact that they need a top quality centre half, he didn't even attempt to sign one in the January transfer window and, Id guess, the average Gooner is well and truly f****d off after giving away a 4 goal lead yesterday. The average Gooner will ask themselves " when are we going to stop building and start winning things?"
So, don't condemn the average Yid for thinking like a Gooner, its Football, we are all dreaming of the same things fella.
Redknapp? Brilliant motivator, talker, knows his Horseflesh but is fixated with Crouch, can be tactically naive ( playing people out of position) and has spent the last two seasons with a strike force that couldnt hit a Barn door with a banjo. Defoe scored nearly half his goals last season in two games, Crouch will NEVER score 20 a season, Keane was forgotton and Pav never gets any kind of extended run, even though he has shown he can find the net. Redknapp will have all the time in the world for defoe to come good, he believes that Crouch gives the team another dimension ( yeah, just the one) and he, clearly doesn't rate Pav. Put all that together and we become reliant on Van Der Vart, Bale and anybody else to chip in with a goal. Its very telling that our goal difference is plus 8 and the teams above us are well into double figures. I don't see what nobody gets about that, Defoes absence through injury was irrellevent because we still had three other strikers on the books! I don't believe that we will go backwards but I DO believe that we are in danger of being caught by Liverpool and next season by Villa. The fact that we have such a strong squad has clearly not scared the inferior squad of Man Utd who are still sitting pretty at the top of the tree.Somewhere in that lays a truth, like it or not. So Redknapp is NOT the messiah, the free flowing exciting football we play is no more free flowing or exciting than Blackpool under Holloway, we just do it with beter players. If you listen to what Redknapp has said recently, there is a certain conflict between what he wanted and what he got, which was sod all. He blames it all on going for too many players, instead of concentrating on the "one" So who decided to go for the many and not the one? Who couldnt make their minds up? If Redknapp really is in charge of player procurement then its all HIS fault! You really can't have it both ways fella!
Levy? A good Chairman, gets the cheque book out when its needed and you don't see or hear from him because the club is seen as more important ( listening to that, are we, messers Gold, Sullivan and Ms Brady, you attention seeking whores, you!) which is kinda old school chairman, i think.
So long as Im prepared to spend the thick end of a £100 just to get me and my missus into the ground, as well as having to do a 200mile round trip and spending a small fortune on greasy burgers and tat out of the spurs shop, I will always be entitled to an opinion, EVERY spurs supporter is entitled to an opinion! !
Have a bit of respect, they are not clueless, they have a view different to yours. . and in this case m'lud, I have to say they have made a case that you have failed to demolish.

Really! to be honest we all know that money was avaliable and levy was trying to bring players in.Itsdown to harry that we didn't get anyone to much dithering about players ( maybe because harry has never managed superstar players) to be honest i have no idea why we didn't go for suarez? he scored more that crouch and deffo have all season within 10 minutes! Seriously i think its jokes that we didn't get anyone but i really do think its down to harry! look at all the clubs hes managed hes never signed a true world class player. is he a mid table manager that got lucky? remember jol got us 5th place 2 seasons running with out a squad as good as we have now ( except berby). basically we rely to much on goals from midfield. crouchan deffo are crap this season an harry doesn't like pav so it looks like were in limbo. personaly i think harry has 1 eye on the england job, i just hope when he goes levy gets a world class manager in who can attract the superstar players or im afraid we are gonna go backwards! coys

After the whole season thinking you were going to get top four and sayin your better than Arsenal. It seems you were all wrong. You're not a big club yet wait for Liverpool to over take you, Chelsea to regain form. Your club slowly slip away. Loose to Milan. Hopefully loose Bale in summer left to rot ;).
TrueGoon

PS. The best you can achieve of hope for is 6th.

For christ sakes! Is that all you have to say? I don't recall ever saying that we WOULD finish in the top four, don't know anybody else that did either. Sure, some Yids have got big mouths but so have some Gooners. Hoping and stating as a fact are two seperate things. First thing I would respectfully suggest to you is that you learn to spell before you post, it makes you sound utterly thick otherwise.
May i also point out that, for a team that has been in constant rebuild for the last umpteen seasons, its looking very unlikely that the Gooners will win the League either, they will also go out of the C.L to Barcelona and may, only may win the two bob cup this season. Thats hardly foundation shaking, is it!
In other words, why post on a Spurs forum when you have so little to cheer about either?
Grow up you silly boy!
PS: Yes We ARE beter than Arsenal, FFS, a Spurs supporter would NEVER say any different, no matter what, you plum.
PPS: Ed, Ive had two posts go missing in the recent past (im not the only one) I shall be seeing if this makes the hattrick. . {ed's note - we have been having problems with the servers, hence why we have had to take the buttons off. Posted this yesterday. .

Rossi will sign today defo. . .good source! Also expect 2 more signings. .not sure who as yet as there are a few floating around but 3 players in total should be done and dusted by 11pm.

Now being told it's Rossi or Forlan. . thought i'd be honest and give ya an up-date! Maybe i'll change my source the peanut.

Hi guys. . so sorry none of these deals went through i really thought my source had it on good authority that someone was coming in. I wasn't trying to bluff you get hopes up. I'm just as annoyed and frustrated being a Spurs fan. I think even Ed thought Rossi was on his way.

Deano. {ed's note - I am shocked no striker arrived, but Levy does like to gamble with brinksmanship, everything is left late and this was always a risk. I wonder if lessons will be learned and the summer window will see business being done nice and early?}

Ed. . yeah i'm defo shocked, at least even Harry went on record saying he really tried to get Rossi. Lessons will be learned from this as the clubs above us and Liverpool beneath has stamped their mark on their ambitions and left us at best 5th or 6th now this season.

Stop getting jealous of liverpool. . fact of the matter is v signed two good forces . . and u couldent

yes costly

. but football is played on the pitch and not in banks

start thinking abt ur self. .this was your best time . and u screwed it. harry screwed it. . . even being in the champions last 16. . u can't attract a top striker ( and liverpool can even without champions league and lying at 7th ). . .how the f*** u wil in the summer when there wil be no champions league

u will say just another lfc fan crap and all. . .but it was abt showing world we r big enough still there and want to achieve something . many will point out abt carroll move critisize it. .but he and liverpool r on the front page of january transfer window in big letters with a swagger and attitude that was lost

01 Feb 2011 16:35:33

Readind all the posts. .every spurs fan has only one thing to say. .andy carroll(35 million) joke its rubbish and all and all. . . . . . . .

but
but

mates u were interested in him . .i mean u can read lots of fans posting abt singing andy befor the window. n now the grapes r sore. .

put ur businessman's mind aside . . football is played on the pitch and not in the banks

yessssss its alot of money. .but if same player who is in good form slips another 12-14 goals (already got 11 goals and 7 assists) in that net including urs. .

and considering tightness of the league v r jus 6 pts bwhind u. . may be im not sure. may be that 35 million could turn in to a champions league 4th spot

and its not liverpools fault. any good striker will cost above 30 mill. .in todays transfer world

Sort of agree with that, although i don't think it was Redknapp making the decisions. It seems that we were going for players that Redknapp had previously considered to be the kind of players the club wanted. I get the vibe that, while Redknapp was "happy" with the squad, Levy wasnt and was the driving force behind any possible transfers. To me, that doesn't say anything too positive about things at WHL and i wouldn't be massively suprised if we have a change of manager at the end of the season, particularly if we don't get into the top 4 and don't get much further in the Champions league. Im sure Levy would argue that he implored Redknapp to go out and sign players, blah, blah, blah.
. . .

you got it all wrong. redknapp named players he would like to get in, levy tried to get these players but it was left to late. why on earth would levy sack redknapp? hes been the best manager we have had in yearssss, if redknapp goes its because the england job is calling. don't judge redknpp from what you see in the media and his interviews. he says levy is in control because he does not want to give out names or anything else, that is how redknapp is! levy ASKS redknapp if this player would be suitable for the squad and its up to redknapp if he wants to sign him. i am just glad we never signed charlie adams, that would have been the worst move in history. we do not need a creative player, we need a right back, defensive mid and a goal machine!
just know that if we make top 4 this season a big signing will come to WHL!

I actually think that for once Harry has done the right thing. Would you really have been happy at shelling out £35m for Andy Carroll (and rumour has it that with add ons it could reach £43m!) Harry sat tight to see if the right player fell into his lap for the right price, and we couldn't get Van der Vaart lucky two windows in a row!

We can now consolidate with what we have got, push on in the league and finnish no lower than 5th, but hopefully top four.

Regroup in the summer and sign the right players for the right price, because lets be brutally honest, Andy Carroll is a GOOD player not a great player.

Put it all into perspective, David Villa cost Barcelona less the Andy Carroll.

Not banter just a depressing fact, our lack of a striker signing this window shows that Levy has given up on a CL place next year and that due to Citeh, Chelski reinforcing we have NO chance of finishing top 4 this season

Sounds like harry tring to bring in players that is out of his league, respect to spurs finishing in the top 4 last season but they need to do again and remain in the cl till semis to get notice from the players he has reported on ssn to have bid for. he does need a striker before 11 2nite, if not noway gonna finnsh in top 4 this season

It looks like Hawwy is doing a Portsmouth, bankrupt the club for one season of glory and then have a fire sale. While he moves on with a bag full of cash.

I'll make this Aguero rumour easier for everyone, with a quote from Harry yesterday:
''I wouldn't want the chairman to start paying £130-140,000 a week for a player''.
Sergio Aguero is already on £220k a week.
