Your missing the point Matthew.
Yes cause everyone wants to be champions , but when we were finishing 4th we seen this as unacceptable where as spurs seen that as an accomplishment.
Carroll was over priced ill be the first to admit it , but Atleast it shows the owners will spend money , man u sold Ronald and didn't see a penny of it.
Alonso wasn't replaced with poulson seeing as alonso left years ago.
I don't see how you have hodgson as a scapegoat 20 games 25 points fighting with relegation , kenny comes in 11 games 20 points and we shot up the table.
Were on the up in regards to new owners etc I don't mean the table there's not a lot we can do now 6th is were we will finish.
Do you think then if a player can choose Liverpool or spurs they would choose spurs then?

You may have a point. Of course Liverpool EXPECT to win titles, European trophies etc, you had a long run of doing so but that was back in the 70s! ! They were, undoubtedly, the best times for liverpool and since then your success has been very intermittent while Spurs has been ridiculously poor over the same period. Thats something i would graciously accept. The point that you have to graciously accept is the fact that a title is a World away from liverpool at the moment. What king kenny has done at the club in such a short space of time is miraculous BUT no more miraculous than Redknapp coming in when we were on our way of of the Premier league and getting us into the Champioins league in such a short space of time! I can't pretend that our loss in Madrid shouldnt have been rammed down our throats by Gooners and Liverpool supporters, some of us yids have got well above our station before we have won bog all, that was stupid. What i will say is that, while we could beat the likes of Villa with 10 men, we had no chance of doing it against Madrid on their ground and, lets be honest, probably Barca would have been the only team who would have stood a chance in the same situation. As for pulling power, yes, historically, Liverpool WILL attract players better than we will, i accept that but the World IS changing and the generation of players that are wanted nowdays were not even born at the height of Liverpools dominance of English/ European football. You know and i know that Carroll isn't worth the transfer fee, Liverpool had to go there to get him. He may turn out to be a bargain.Where we end up at the end of the season is not a foregone conclusion, anymore than Liverpool finishing 6th. We shall see, eh?
