Lets see how you play in the second leg without Bale. But well done on tonights win.

Man City Fan

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Was a good performance and wasn't a 1 man show which was very promising so I think we'll be fine without him.

Agree6 Disagree1

We will be fine without bale, its not as if we have to chase the game.

Agree3 Disagree2

With or without bale, we got futrther in europe than city, and before u say its not cl season b4 last we got through to last eight, without the spending power u lot have. maybe u still have the hump over 1981 still never mind theirs r more millions in the pot for u to waste, leave us to jog along hopefully piping you for second barb

Agree0 Disagree1

I don't think there is millions for them to waste now.
The stadium sponsorship 'deal' is being investigated by eufa.
They can't comply with FFP.
They would need to seriously offload before spending silly money again or they have to double ticket prices.
I personally think they are fooked.

Bale 6th yellow for diving today, I think he was just running too fast actually.

Believable0 Unbelievable7

No it was a dive, disgusting play by an immense player, really wish he would just stop it!

Agree11 Disagree0

It was definetly a dive and his 4th booking for diving.
He needs to cut it out or people may have another reason to compare him to Suarez.

its simple lads, in istanbul we won it 5 times! when you achieve that then you have the right to try and be-little other teams! even then its disrespectful. oh and to say bale is better than suarez? on what grounds? suarez top scorer in prem and more assists than bale. infact when you add both goals and assists together bale isn't even in top five or six. its simple, bale is flavour of the month! what has he won in his illustrious career? zilch, nadda, nothing! and don't think that your going to just turn up at anfield and win! we are playing some fantastic football and goals are coming from all over the park! not just from your gareth bale! you ought to tone it down a bit, youve only just become the best in north london, know your place!

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Do you see how these scousers, just like the gooners, go on the attack BEFORE the game.
Is it because they know they will have to hide away come Monday?
Yeah, I thought so!

COYMFS.

Agree6 Disagree6

Lets put it another way, how many of your first team would actually get in to the Spurs side right now?
Thought so; just the one!

. and you think we are a one man team!

Agree4 Disagree5

Lol you need to watch more than just Liverpool games pal. Flavour of the month. Seriously watch the guy play ffs. He's not linked with every top team who can actually afford him just because he's having a good month lmao.
Not taking anything from Liverpool I think they have been one of the best teams in 2013 so far but Spurs have gone the last 14 league games without a loss so listen to your own advice and stop being disrespectful. Nobody is doubting Liverpools history but anyone can see with our current side vs yours we are simply better. Don't believe me check the Epl table!

Agree1 Disagree6

Hey mate, you ain't even the best in scouse land.

Know your place!

How long ago was instanbul?
You been on a downward spiral ever since. Good to build on success eh!

What a plum!

COYMFS.

Agree4 Disagree7

A series of bad owners, managers, and players in/out over the scousers for the last couple years. You guys have had terrible luck, but don't hate because we got things right. /Jealousy

Royal Yod

Agree4 Disagree5

What has Bale won? How about PFA player of the year and numerous EPL player of the month awards. Compare that to how many personal awards Suarez has won?

Has anyone else noticed that as soon as we got holtby, sigurdsson has really stepped up his play and is now our first choice in that role. As I write this he has just produced a beautiful cross in for bale.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

He's looking very good. Also he can actually produce a decent corner lol

Nice to see a decnt comment from a Liverpool fan.
I, for one, don't mind Liverpool as a team, they play good football.
It's just some of your fans are so deluded. They act as though Liverpool are the only team that every won anything.

Rooney to Spurs for 25m in the summer! HAHA

St. Helens Red

Agree3 Disagree5

Liverpool are playing well so I wouldn't underestimate anything but I still think we will beat them,

Agree3 Disagree3

St. Helens red, the biggest laugh i`ve had this season, is your deluded fans saying you can finish top 4 haha stop it please, a little wee escaped!

Much love

heres my prediction spurs come 4th and fail to qualify that would be funny. The biggest laugh is spurs running liverpool down, when is the last time you won anything you lot celebrate coming 4th like its the biggest achievement ever and mock other teams who r rebuilding let's see how long you lot stay in top 4 with that tiny fanbase and the new ffpr coming in.

Agree7 Disagree2

What are you doing?
Why are you dragging spurs fans down to the level of the scousers?
The way you spoke then reminded me of a gooner, scouse or chav.

I wish some people would think before they type.

COYMFS.

Agree2 Disagree2

Liverpool game is massive for Spurs. With Chelsea and Arsenal, not playing this season it will be a chance to extend the gap in points. Think Tottenham will just shade it 1-2, no doubt it will be Bale who will get the 2nd.

On another note, who should start out of Sigurdsson or Holtby on Sunday?
Would like to see Sigurdsson get a run in the team as he has worked hard in the last couple of games I have seen him in and deserves a shot. Holtby will definitely be a regular but doesn't have to be rushed in in my opinion. Thoughts.

Agree1 Disagree1

Agree on holtby/Siggs conundrum mate.
My guess is that one will start tonight and one will start on Sunday.

COYMFS.

Agree1 Disagree1

Did that scouse fan above mention fffp?
The only reason the scouse pay stupid wages, ie cole, Sturridge, Suarez is that they won't be in Europe so fffp doesn't matter.
As for spurs finishing 4th and not qualifying? Did you make that up yourself? No. guess not. Original.
You cases yourself as rebuilding, that's why you are slipping down the league, well, use us as a model. We HAVE rebuilt and are showing it now.
Why do clubs who had success in the past, the distant past, use that as a bargaining tool when arguing?
It's history my friend.
By the way, we will celebrate 4th/3rd/2nd this season like a trophy, just like you would if you ever get back in the CL which is unlikely to happen any time soon.

Agree0 Disagree7

07 Mar 2013 22:55:30
it was the ffpr you person and imo you aren't big enough of a club to hold on to top players like bale, moody there's nobody else at spurs top payers and all the money you get from bale sale in the summer will be used up as you must be over spending. I have met a handful of spurs fans in my whole life the fan base is not there just like everton city chelsea allthough the city chelsea have the money to spend. Tommy Irish Red

Agree8 Disagree2

No fan base? I'm a member of Philly Spurs supporters group here in Philadelphia USA pal. We are 140+ strong, and we ruled the pub last Sunday. Spurs are on the up in every way a club can be. Get over it!

They have a whole bar in singapore and its not all ex pats snm

SirBob

Agree2 Disagree1

Spurs have won over plenty of supporters here as the game's popularity has grown in America the last ten years. Most of us chose Spurs because we wanted to support a proper English team with a history, didn't want to be bandwagon-riding Chelsea and Man U fans, and enjoy that underdog role (see Rocky, lol). Sure there's a few new Dempsey fans, but what's wrong with that? Just so happens that now we have developed into a top club over this time that plays exhilarating football and now Tommy Boy, you are the under dog. Don't worry, you'll get used to it.

ooh 1 whole bar in singapore you are really going global I wonder how many bars liverpool have r dare I say it utd. Tommy Irish Red

Agree1 Disagree1

So Tommy your point is that in Ireland people only follow the teams that win things? So glory hunters? Wouldn't want your support anyway then mate! That's the problem with theses fans IMO is that they support the team purely because they win and when things start to go wrong they get bitter and strike at anyone who is doing well. Tommy you are so narrow minded I'm guessing your JUST a Liverpool fan, right? Well your on a banter page with FOOTBALL fans who all follow the mighty spurs so if you can't handle the fact your team is no longer regarded as a "top four" side then go cry somewhere else we don't wanna hear it. Many thanks

Agree0 Disagree3

Tommy Irish red. Your comments really make you sound like a complete bigoted fool.

You are an embarrassment to your club.
Most decent fans don't have the 'my dads bigger than your dad attitude'

Stop livin in past glories and get over it.
You don't here us taking the p. iss because we keep beating you home and away.
It's history, that's why.

i suggest you look up the word bigoted because i'm sure the eds would not allow anyone to be offended by someone being mean I was only having a bit of banter on the banter page and the last time I looked spurs fans can give it but it looks like you can't take it but to be quite honest I think you are a very good team and just like to wind up good luck in the cl next year. tommy Irish Red

Just to put it out there for discussion - Rooney at Spurs?

Sim the Spur

Believable2 Unbelievable2

All day long - would be top notch, but Levy wants to shop at Lidl not M&S.

Agree3 Disagree0

I would prefer Hernandez tbh as Rooney seems to have lost the passion. If he gets it back then he's world class and whoever buys him gets a bargain just can't see it personally. Look at players like Kaka and Ronaldiniho. They lost interest, had enough money and were happy to rely on there name to carry them. This is just my opinion and I'm sure others see it a different way.

Agree1 Disagree0
