This is a sad day but being open it demonstrates to the board that we are short of Champions League status. If you can't go to Aston Villa an win when they play a depleted side with 3 defenders in their midfield then you dont deserve Champions League Football.

Time and time again harry has failed to manager the team with any evidence of tactical awareness. We fell victim to that at Everton where we lost the game 1-0, then at Stoke we nearly lost until VDV scored in the dying seconds, the same story at Sunderland where Defoe came on in the dying minutes, then the shambolic shape change home against Norwich where we lost and finally the game against QPR with Sandro on the wing when we had Lennon fit on the bench. Today was a total disgrace when it was obvious that Villa were trying to grab a point, all I could hear was Jermaine Defoe's name being sung by our loyal fans and Harry decides to bring on a holding midfielder for our best player on the day VDV.

Harry admited he was tactically clueless after the QPR game declaring he wasn't sure what our best shape was after 30 odd games. At the end of the day Rose has shown me nothing apart from one wonder goal, and we let Santon join Newcastle for peanuts when he was being touted as the next Maldini. We loan out Naughton, sell Hutton and send Corluka over to Germany leaving Kyle Walker totally exposed. He has stuck with King and Gallas far too often when the signs were there last season that they were losing form. We loan out Bassong and Caulker who are the only reliable cover and bring in another ageing injury prone player in Nelson.

Why was it so clear to every Spurs fan that we needed a LB and Taiwo joins QPR and Santon joins Toon under our noses. Why was it clear that we needed a new CB to replace the old guard in King and Gallas particularly after the Dawson injury crisis and yet no agressive move for Subotic or Vertonghen or even Cahill.

The biggest issue is the failure to secure a world class striker instead of bringing in a lazy serial offender of playing well for the first 10 games before giving up when the weather gets cold. We needed Damiao and yet dithered around and he would have given us 5 points at least had we had him up front. Adebayor has been made to look amazingly better than reality like today he scored a penalty and did nothign else, and the last game he was absolutely woeful yet gets two side foot chances which your gran would have scored.

Lets hope Bayern do us a favour or better still Hodgson's boys get a shock draw at home.

Seriously appalled that we have had the chance to seize the day 5 times this season and we have failed every single time due to tactical stupidity.

So what does good look like next season:

Manager - Klinsmann - Professional and tactically good and a fans favourite

GK - Vorm / Freidel - Vorm looks like a fantastic keeper and I feel better than Lloris long term.
LB - Santon / BAE - Santon is one of the reasons Newcastle have looked so good. Get him before everyone else realises it.
CB - Vertonghen / Caulker - Vertonghen should be the future with Caulker as reserve. It is time King, Bassong, Gallas and Nelson moved on.
CB - Kaboul / Dawson - Yes you heard it right Kaboul over Dawson he has been a beast for us.
RB = Walker / Naughton - Walker looks world class and I thin Naughton would be equally effective if given a chance.
LM - Bale / Robben - Both are so good they can move across the park and be used in many different formations.
CM - Sandro / Parker - Hard choice to pick one but for me Sandro is the future and Parker will help him fulfill his potential
CM - Modric / Huddlestone - Modric is great but I still feel Tommy will be back with a bang next season.
LM - Hazard / Lennon - hazard would how us just what Lennon should be doing at the highest level. Lennon could become so effective as a substitute in the last 20 minutes of games when we need a result.
ACM - Van Der Vaart / Dos Santos - I feel VDV can be brilliant behind a top target man up front but also feel that Dos Santos could thrive in the same role.
CF - Damiao / Defoe / Coullibally- Time to ditch Adebayor & Saha and bring in some youth in Coullibally or even Kane.

I know this would mean us signing Vorm, Santon, Vertonghen, Robben, Hazard & Damiao but lets be honest we need to sell or release; Gomes, Rose, King, Gallas, Nelson, Bassong, Corluka, Krancjar, Jenas, Pienaar, Bentley, Saha & Adebayor. The players out would massively out weigh the costs in as wage total play a significnat factor in the balance sheets.

Lets hope we get something near the wish list as my scpetical side fears Moyes replacing Redknapp in the Europa League with Pienaar, Dempsey and co joining the team proper and Modric, Bale and Sandro paying off the new stadium costs.

And while I'm at it,get your own scouts/targets...it seems any time a player is linked in the press,or mentioned on the Arsenal page,the next day his name is on here or being linked to the spuds in the media.

I saw Belhanda mentioned on our page a couple of weeks ago,then 2 days later people on here were saying you should sign him. Coincidence? I think not.

Do you also enjoy being also rans for the title? Do you not mind that you havent a cat in hells chance of winning the Champions league? Are you not worried that the only player you have that has acted as a one man team for you may be off to a "bigger" club at the end of the season? Exactly WTF have you got to be very happy about? Two points ahead ( at this moment) and one place above us in the table? All that for a club that has much more financial muscle than we have and, by now, under Wenger, should be regular title challengers.....but are not?
No, us Y*ds may well be peeved at throwing the baby out with the bathwater but, lets all be absolutely honest and fair about all this, my Gooner mates ( yes i do have some) consider them selves very fortunate that we have thrown it all away this season NOT that their club has been brilliant. TRUE supporters acknowledge their teams short comings and are honest enough to admit it. You havent the guts to and, if you REALLY are that "very happy" I pity you and i pity your club for just accepting their status in Football, also rans, just like we are.......

Oracle i just cant read your stuff mate i dont no if you have ever wathed a game in your life. get rid of king are you mad hes been playing injured of late but still does a good job and leads the defence so well get him a good pre season and he will be back to best.

Baines not santon robben has signed extension with bayern so forget that Damaio want juve. We could get Ba and Berbatov though. Vertoghen looks close but hazard may choose moneybags city. al habsi is good keeper at wigan as well as vorm. {Ed008's Note - I agree with Santon this guy is a very good player whether it be on the left or ride side of the defence/midfield underrated not getting any credit like your Ba's/Cisse/Cabaye etc. 5Million is how much Newcastle paid for him bargain.

Right all you ars . I have read your sight but never posted. If you spent as much time posting on your own instead of ours then you could call yourself proper fans. I'm staking most posting on here are either very young or single loners that need to find new porn sights and multi buy tissue suppliers. And as for fellow spurs fans. I pray pray pray after every ars balls up that you wait till we have taken advantage before posting and yelling. As spurs fans you must know what my happen. Yea we dominated again today but agin, not enough shots where on target. I like HR. he has done wonders for us. But I think he had taken us as far as he ever can. Come on, ffs, Parker on at 89 mins. He knew the Newcastle score. Settled for a point. Not good enough when 3 rd is there for the taking. I still think WBA will get a point next week. So over to us again. Prob for MJ and HR to screw us over and I think it is just deserved to on both counts.

You lot love dishing it out but can't take it when its being given back.

You might not have personally been on our page,but all season your lot has been all over our page giving it large,only to mysteriously disappear once we caught up and overtook you in the league,it's quite embarrassing really,because you only now see spuds giving it when Arsenal draw a game,only to vanish again when the spuds slip up.

One of the funniest things I have ever seen on any of these pages was spuds asking the eds to ban Gooners from this page,and asking for spud only editors so the Gooner posts don't get through.

Absolutely pathetic,but then again,I expect nothing less from you lot...no class.

Arsenal fans you come and gloat after crying for Wenger and half the team out on Saturday evening. You still have WEst Brom away which on the face of it looks easy, but after the way norwich carved you apart nothing is guaranteed. I expect Arsenal to get 3rd now and the bookies make you 8/11 fav to win the match. Well if you are certain you will not draw or lose then put your house on yourselves beating West Brom. You see the great thing is Spurs feel like we will get 4th now, and we accept that we lost our chance to take control of our destiny. The worrying news for Arsenal is the pressure is now off for Spurs and we will play freely aginst Fulham and take an early lead I am sure, so the pressure will rest on Wenger to drive you lot to glory at The Hawthorns. If Ben Foster has one of his good days, and Brunt gets at you I think you lot will bottle it.

Lets not forget they beat Chelsea at home and drew with Man City. I cannot see them beating Arsenal but as the game progresses I can see them frustrating you and giving Hodgson a parting fairwell performance. So expect the score to finish 0-0 and wear thick gloves or your nails might be down to the cuticle before the final whistle blows.

So go on gloat a little longer and enjoy the moment, but 8/11 odds is hardly guaranteed is it, and you lot have been woeful at defending lately. No Sagna and a red card for Szczesny when he comes rushing out to intercept. WEst BRom will miss the penalty and you lot will fail to get the winner.
