AVB or moyes
AVB or fergie
AVB or ramos
AVB or wenger
AVB or burkinshaw
Why did you ask that in your post??
I wish some would get used to the fact that AVB is our manager.
Back the team, back the coach, at all costs and stop stirring up sh.t.

Still here , but working too much and not typing enough ! AVB will do it ( fingers crossed he has learnt something from the first three games ) but Levy , he will never learn ! Its in his blood to be tight , and very bloody minded . He enjoys f***ing people about , thinks he knows a lot more about football fans than he really does , and couldnt give a rubbish what the fans on the terraces really think ! And before you all start , yes he is a good business man who does his best for the club , but now and again he ought to think about the fans , who spend an absolute fortune every week , through thick and thin , following the club . All we have wanted for the last couple of years is a top class CF , a true marquee signing , but thanks to his attitude , penny pinching and stubborness , we still dont have one ! Could he be worried some one at the club could be more important , and have more limelight than him ??

Personally as a fan what I want is the best for the club and you said there that he does his best for the club so I don't see the point in the criticizing him too much after that. With Levy I think you have to decide that either: he runs the club financially well and does make some good signings but due to his financial prudence we don't always get the big name but that's the price we have to pay to remain a stable club. Or that he hasn't secured the big signings we need and doesn't seem to work close enough with the manager/football staff to secure the signings we need.
Personally I still think that Levy is the man for the job but not securing JoĆ£o Moutinho was a big blow

Let's not expect to much from the team this season, new manager new players ( I expect the jan window to be massive for us) AVB needs time to build the team he wants. I will be happy for top 6 and a decent cup run this season ( top 3 next) so lets get behind AVB and the team, remember this is gonna be a transitional season! And who on here is ever gonna stop supporting just because we are having a bad season???

Yeah fergie didn't take time to settle at utd when he first came did he? Oh wait....
Torres for Chelsea come to mind, I think they had to wait.
And city have had to wait a while for players and managers. The amout of investment they have put in compared to us is stupid

Rubbish mate.Appointing AVB was ridiculous and everyone knows it.This is all down to Levy the cheapskate...Why did he not appoint Gaurdiola?...Because he won't pull up. He lied to AVB over funds promised the world and now look.He dont know what day it is.

Did you seriously just say why didn't he appoint guardiola? That's insan! I imagine there were a few reasons.
He is taking a year off from management
Even Chelsea with all their money couldn't get him to come
He is one of the most successful managers ever
He doesn't live in a fantasy land
(im not saying a love levy, although I do think he has been good for the club just wish we had hot moutinio)

After the first 5 games last season Chelsea had 7 points. They had drawn away at Stoke and (how ironic) beaten WBA and Norwich at home.
The problem, as I see it with AVB is that his style s is based on a high energy sapping and a high defensive line and as games proceed unless you are at least two goals ahead the opposition will stand every chance of nicking one or even the three points.
As I see it you have to in effect win the game in the first half. Yes that should be achievable in most home games against mid to lower quality opposition but against the top teams they will draw you in and hit you on the break. As for away game the most , if not all teams play a lot more aggressive high tempo game which I am not sure will suit the high line.
So what does all that mean? Well it's not the supporters that will crack first if things don't change it will be the players. For me if the next 6 games don't bring in at least 10 points then start to panic.

Chelsea had 10 points after 5 games and 19 after 8 - they were doing well then they started to fall away after losing to QPR then biggest team in London in Arsenal.

Apologies if you read my comments I talk about their first three games (Stoke, Norwich and WBA) then typed 5 games!
The point I was trying to make is that early on Chelsea were doing ok but when they hit the buffers there didnt appear to be any plan b. Spurs seem already to be at that point .
As for losing to Arsenal that was with RVP who was the main difference on the day.
