i just realised something..... the last day of the summer transfer window is like christmas....
I am a spurs fan however ....
and although i thank god i didnt get a cole in my stockings... i did get an old parker.....
this summers christmas has sucked...... pfffff

What a lack of spendature. The worst Arry and Levy could of done is get rid of 5+ players and bring none in, precisely what they have done. wonderful!

13 spent in 3 transfer windows. levy wants cl. more like levy wants a kick up the a..e what a bloody awful transfer window. yes some dross has gone but cl. more like championship. go levy for crying out loud. ive been a spurs fan for 50 years and can honestly say the board spoil our team every time. once a spur always a spur, but a bloody miserable one tonight

Oh my...looks like i might be eating my words, 20 mins left and i'm hearing nothing from my contact despite what he said earlier..i will be very p***ed off if nothing happens and i think i'll become a neutral football supporter as 30 years of being a spurs fan to be let down every window and season.

Are there any other deals happening? any suprises? if not would be a poor window for the club. looking worryingly thin up front, our problem last season was a cutting edge up top, and with one injury we will be weaker than last season

Hats off to levy, always had faith. If crouch goes surely we need another striker on loan? Pav, defoe and ade won't get us near top 4.

There will be no huge shock signing this window because JL/DL are waiting for Rednapp to take the England job. When he does Mourinio will come to the lane and then JL will spend big to keep up with his Man City mate SM. This is also why Mourinio agreed to the loan of Adebayor, who will be his first signing when he joins. Anything in this window is just a stop gap.

I want to see one top class striker coming in this window, wouldn't be surprised if the 'surprise signing' is someone like Rossi or maybe even Llorente? We haven't heard his name in a while!

At least the deadwood has gone. Crouch, bentley, jenas, hutton, palacios, bassong all gone/about to go in one day - Wow! Cahill presumbably will sign soon, but Redknapp and Levy must be planning to bring a striker/winger in if crouch has been allowed to go. Who do people think this is?? Well peeps big day is here..levy did tell arry you have to sell before you buy..keane two half mill pal/stoke 6/7 mill looks to have been done hutton/villa[rumour]3mill maybe some late movement on transfer day
into players leaving but not enough to make an impact. players in poss/ parker nearly done 5mill+ 45/50k a wk ade/75+k a week friedel wage unknown dl/hr should have been trying to sell the overpriced and overpaid krap that no one wants?....yesterday ed 008 said the gooners were panic buying they have had a massive clearout of player yes they wanted to keep fab/nasri but not to the point were it affects there transfer plans...the point is if modders aint sold very few players will sign every deal seems to be some cash/player like there trying to lower the wage bill by off setting wages against new signings i blame levy..when modders said he wanted to go levy should have sat down with chelsea and thrashed out gd deal instead of acting like kid saying il put him in the stands like he gives f@@k he aint a tottenham supporter s1 is offering 3 times as much money to the same job...now funds are limited unless a deal is struck ..what did arry say i hope modders aint sold on the last day...levy might win the day and keep an unhappy player can you imagine the negativaty in the changing room

The Arsenal are signing quality in Mertsaker etc and who are we getting? No one at the moment, at least give us some hope DL

To be honest mertesacker isn't all that great, when we beat Bremen 3-0 last year he was poor and lacked presence in the game, but completely agree with your pOont.

So you judge a player one game?? {Ed008's Note - Clearly hasn't watched him play for his country and for Werder Bremen. He is a tank and with Vermaelen even better!

Just giving an example of when, who I think is an overrated player, was poor. No need to kick off
