i couldnt give a **** about the Carling cup or whatever its called but obviously you do. You relied on a referee yet again to help you smash Reading reserves with a cliniical display. You must be licking your lips after that display.
What is bothering me is Avb. He hasnt got a clue. He always tries playing negative when we get a lead and it almost always backfires. Also when Livermore plays we lose, he is pathetic.
Anyone that rates Avb please tell me why? I asked this last week yet not on Avb lover said anything. He is a clown, Levy has made a big big mistake getting in Avb.
spurs guvnor
I disagree.
We're 4th in the league, and beat Man Utd for the first time in a very long time.
Give AVB time to create HIS squad. Remember he differs so much from Redknapp...and he inherited Redknapps squad and style of play.
And there Spurs guvnor , lies the problem . Avb has inherited a lot of Harrys totally useless crap . Yes in the transfer window , we picked up more crap but were they AVB's choices , dempsey , siggy , ade , I doubt it , more like old tight arses choices ! Yes AVB does get a bit negative when we lead, yes for some reason he persists with Livermore , but give him at least till the new year , then old tight arse wont open his wallet again and we can see how we do with Arry's crap left overs !There is no way Roman would have paid £13 mill to free him from his contract if there wasnt anything there . Patience dear boy , two hard games soon , so lets re assess then .
Davo
Davo, you have put your finger right on it.
Harry just left behind a load of rubbish that AVB cannot really use:
Except for Defoe (AVB's 1st choice striker), Sandro (his 1st choice defensive midfield player), Walker (his 1st choice right back), Friedel (his 1st choice goalkeeper), Gallas (his 1st choice right central defender), Kaboul (his 1st choice left central defender, when he is fit) together with Parker (who hasn't played yet), the emerging Naughton (who should be playing at right back to give Walker a kick up the backside) and Falque (who is only just starting to show).
Apart from a couple of young players out on loan to get more experience, every one of Harry's players who is still at the club is an important member of AVB's squad (that is his judgement, not mine). Not one dud amongst them.
AVB's main problem is not the players that Harry left, but the ones he wasn't able to leave. Losing Modric, VDV and King left a gap in class that it is difficult to fill.
Similarly, we have to question who did all the buying in the summer. For example, back in September there was a rumour that AVB was angry at the purchase of Lloris. It was said that he didn't fancy the player, didn't think another goalkeeper was a top priority, and thought the money could be better spent strengthening other areas of the squad. That might just have been newspaper talk, but it does worry me. It is looking like Commoli 'v' Jol and Ramos all over again.
