The same Gerrard who set up the goal? And the only player who looked like scoring in the second half forcing the keep to make saves? Oh yeah he was outshone by all the spurs players on the pitch. Oh wait a minute there wasn't any!
Gerrard is now over the hill he hasn't the engine anymore to run the midfield and last night his passing (strong part of game ) was terrible, he is on a downward spiral because the epl doesn't get any easier. would hate to think he was an integral part of my team. As a liverpool supporter on THEIR page said "no wonder we (liverpool) are a mid table team with him running the midfield" that is from a liverpool supporter. OUR england internationals (we have several) are either injured or played a part in the 8 0 drubbing of san marino and I think we have more regular england internationals than liverpool do

Gerrard should bow out graacefully, time to let some of the younger generation step in, this is what has always held england back
Gerrard is a good player but was shocking last night in the 1st half and abysmal in the 2nd half.
He got the assist and had a few shots, fair enough, but his tackling was non existent, his passing was atrocious and his marking was abysmal. To be fair to him, he was in a midfield with Cleverly (terrible) and Carrick (lightweight) but he did have a very poor game and should have been subbed at 50 minutes for Parker or Osman.
