Just talking with an old friend about what influences you (apart from where you live) when you were young, to support a certain team for the rest of your life. I have supported chelsea for a best part of 50 years because my grandad did. My mate has supported spurs for about same time for the same reason ,his grandad. We then got on to talking about other memories, I can still remember to this day the radio announcing the tragic death of john white by lightning strike, when I was about 8, the influence of the great alan gilzean , and how I used to try and copy him with his flicks and skill. And of course his partnership with jimmy greaves. Hope you all have a good christmas, and spurs have a great year, if there is one team that deserves success and luck for once its spurs. {Ed002's Note - I moved to Redcliffe Place close to the ground when I came to England in 1981.}
My family are west ham and charlton fans having grown up in the areas. I knew I had to be different and knew that either spurs or gooners would piss them off. Decided at a very young age that I wasn't stupid enough to be a gooner so the decision made itself.
I have faithfully stood by spurs through thick and thin now for almost 30 years.

{Ed002's Note - The Spurs story comes from a journalist speculating that a sale, not a loan, to Spurs may be possible - but I have no confirmation that it is true at this time. If a move for Moutinho cannot be put together by Spurs, then an approach to Sneijder does make sense. PSG and Fenerbhace are the two most likely destinations for Sneijder at this time although Schalke 04 have been packaging up an ambitious bid. Anzhi and Spartak Moscow retain an interest in him but chances of a move to Russia seem to be near zero. I don't know of any remaining interest from Manchester United. There is a very slim chance that he could make a surprise move somewhere else and discussions have been held with a club on a different continent, but I would supect that is something for the future.}
