After todays performance surely AVB and DL must now know if they didn't before that we are in need of a proven reliable goalscorer, just hope all this s**t about not signing another striker is purely smoke and mirrors, because if we don't sign one we are in for a long and troublesome season.

Lukaku spoilt our day and that of AVB, he came on like a thorn in d flesh, riping open our defence making sure they stole 2 points frm us. His world against AVB's.

I am right behind AVB, but if we do not sign another striker, then Levy needs to take a lot of the blame if we struggle Unfortunately it will be AVB who takes the stick and will be gone by christmas. Sorry to sound pesemistic but the media are all over him already! You watch the odds for first manager sacked on Monday.

In AVB i trust, in Levy i am starting to doubt. Please prove me wrong and fix a problem(striker) we have had since Berba left.

I , hopefully believe that AVB can pull us back , and I know its only 2 games but come on , playing Jenas . There isnt a manager in the top ten from last year who would want him in their squad , let alone the first team . Now is the time to get rid of the crap or give them away , Jenas , bentley , etc etc and sort out ratface . Tell real madrid to put up or shut up . They will wait till the last day then we cant replace him . Its ok standing up for the best prices for us , and I thank Levy for that but all its doing is f***ing up our plans so tell them and ratface there is a price and a deadline . Surely when AVB signed up for us , he was told he could buy some of his own choices or why would he come . Its very well scrimping and saving , but you pay for it in the end . We needed that forward in January and we would have qualified for the CL . What happens this January when Ade clears off to the nations cup ? Its alright AVB saying we dont need another striker , is he watching the same games as everyone else . We have one good striker , one who is so desperate he shoots every time without opening his eyes around him , and one young potentially good striker with no experience ! For gods sake stop pissing around and sort it out ! Its alright for Levy , AVB and co , what we spend supporting the team and following them , is just pocket money but it isnt cheap , and watching our team suffering for the sakes of £20 mill or so isnt funny ! A top class striker has been needed for over 3 years now , and we wouldnt have got Ade for that price if Man sh**ty werent desperate to sell , so thats not down to Levy ! So Daniel , the time has come to show us what this club really means to you , you got us AVB , now dig deep and get us the striker we need , quickly !!

Cut and paste this rant and save it somewhere. Come early January, if we are propping up the rest of the Premiership then, by all means repost. Sorry, two games into the season and you should know better. So many clubs will drop points between now and 2013 that the first half a dozen games are rarely significant, F***K!!! Did last seasons points collapse teach people nothing?? Come on, get behind the side, the manager and, yeah, even Levy who HAS to cut deals and bargain hard for quality playes because we dont have the kind of money that other clubs have, do we!! Give him some bloody credit, any other chairman would have bankrupted us or not spent a ha'peeny and we would now be like Aston Villa!

Sorry super yod , but a lot of fans dont want to wait until January to see if we are propping up the table ! Even you have to admit that a forward has been needed since berba left ! Yes Levy keeps us financially sound , good on him , but a lot of money goes into the club and we have spent what , 25 mill ? I dont know about you but I have spent a lot of money following my club over the past 30 plus years , money not always easily found so I will say my piece whatever . It doesnt make me fickle , it makes me a true supporter thats slightly fed up ! All the time Arry was here , we was promised this and that , nothing came but a load of excuses ! If we cant afford these players , dont look at them and make silly offers so you have plenty of excuses at the end of the window . Look at finding the bargains like Newcastle , Everton and BUY them ! I would be happy with us BUYING good young bargains and staying financially sound , but its not the supporters chasing the aces knowing full bloody well , we cant and wont , be able to afford them !!!!! Enough good relatively unknown players have been found , why dont we ever find them ??

You are not the only " true" supporter fella, I can remember a time when we were truly sh*t and when we were playing in the old second division.
I said propping up the table tongue in cheek, bloody hell, come on, we are TWO games into the season and the transfer window hasnt even closed, yet you have already decided that its going to be a f*****g disaster. Wait and see, wait and see. Utterly pointless posting doom and gloom yet, that doesnt make you a TRUE supporter it just makes you look like a whinger. At least give the club a chance to f**k it all up before you put the boot in, eh?

Oh, one final thing. IIRC, the club hasnt officially stated that they have been after ANY of the strikers we have been linked with so, to that end, why should the club be kicked for allegedly trying to punch above their weight in making signings that are beyond them?

Sorry mate , but I havent said it will be a disaster . Like you I have been through some rubbishe following Spurs , and will follow them till the day I die where ever we finish . But everybody in football knows when the season starts and when the transfer window ends , and we always seem to have to wait past the first couple of games , then if we are lucky we might get a player in ! Not good practice in any way !Also , I bet there is hardly any spurs fans who dont believe that we need URGENTLY a new striker , for at least the last three years . Also , everyone knows , you have to speculate to accumalate , and with a new striker , we would have been in the CL this year !

No fella, we would have been in the CL this year if we hadnt dropped points like a flasher drops his trousers. Lets not forget just how much of a points cushion we had last season and how, at one stage we were running neck and neck with the Manc clubs. It was an unforgiveable loss of form that has stuck us in the Europa league competition this season not a lack of strikers. I agree that not getting the players in before the last knockings of the transfer window isnt a good idea but, like i said, we dont have the kind of money other clubs do to throw at players. Its a fact of life that last minute deals get players for less than they are originally up for ( VDV is a good example) and if thats the only way to do business without taking the club into huge debt, so be it, Anything between the start and end of the transfer window has little importance, the real work happens after half a dozen games when players are match fit. We put too much store in getting players in early, even if we had the players we wanted in the first match and had won it AND the WBA game it would prove nothing at all. There are clubs that have flown out of the gates and won both their matches but wont be there abouts at the end of the season, we all know that. I fully respect your point of view but we need to look at things per season and not over the last few. Concentrate on this season and hope that we do get another striker in before the deadline.

Same as last week, good 1st half but as soon as Lukaku came on he exploited our so called high line with pace and power we always looked as tho' we would let a goal in!

Had a great deal of possession again created chances but struggled to take them.

We desperately need another striker and fast, love Defoe but shoots on site even when others are better placed.

With our high line and lack of converting chances we might struggle against the big teams but lets see.

AVB needs a result and quick otherwise the Spurs faithful will turn

We need a striker of the class of kjh.
We need willian to sign, or the like, to give Lennon some competition. He has been our right wing for 6 years.
We also need AVB not to run such a high line. It cost us big time 2nd half.
Lastly, mr levy, we need you get the signings in. F.ck saving a million here and there. It's costing us.
Our last player who could turn a game on its head with a flash of brilliance was Berba, he has never been replaced.
Siggs seems a better option than vdv now.
I love vdv but he needs a bench roll and too impact the last 20 mins.
The next week will say alot about how our season is gonna pan out and, for once, it won't be decided on the pitch.

Relax fellow spurs fans will you about todays game we played a stormer first half wext brom played a stormer soon as lakaku came on we cant deny west brom had a good game ok fair enough he should of kept on defoe rather bringing on jenas but were one point more den we had last yea,and soon as the window is shut we will have a more settled team next weeks match against norwich we will see a proper settled team.

Have the same issue still that we've had the last couple of seasons, possession without goals.

You say we are one point more then we were last year, yes, but against the teams that got first and second place at the end. We got four points from Newcastle away and West Brom at home last year so we are down 3 points on last year.

It won't be his fault, but if that is the case, he will get maximum one season as our manager.

Surely Levy and Avb will see now that we need a super striker . Just like last season 101 chances a game , no goals !! And no more strikers they say . There must be loads of strikers who look at the chances created and wish they have that sort of service ! Please , please get a decent striker !!

So far the 3 signings made have not been AVB's & I fear our summer spending is over.

If the current team fails fickle fans & pundits will b 1st to criticise AVB which wud b unjust until he has had the chance 2 build his own team.

Man is but we have missed a trick on Johnson for 12m
When we appear to b trying to sign sum1 4 nearly double that who is unproven in our league & looks good in the fantastic Ukrainian league.

Adam Johnson wouldn't come to spurs. He wants first team football, us, bin dippers even le arse can't guarantee him that.
That's why I think Defoe will throw his toys out of his pram if we sign a no.9.
