Sterling or Januzaj or Gnabry. Or Lamela?

{Ed008's Note - Lamela

24 Dec 2013 19:35:24
Lamela s***s all over them three if he is utilised properly

Agree0 Disagree0

Lamela?! You are joking?! Suggesting he's better than any of the others is better than any of the jokes in crackers I read yesterday

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul, Lamela is better than any of them easily. To say that Sterling is better is deluded. Gnarby is ok and Januzaj is overated as he plays for a weak Man Utd. Lamela is much much better than any of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

He justs needs a chance to prove it!

Pretty sure lamela is the only one to be top scorer in one of europes top leagues. He is just not beimg used correctly or getting his chance of a solid run in the team

I now hope Tim was given the job for his ability not because of lack of availability and as he has the post for 18 months let him let go the players he thinks are not for us and bring in who HE wants. I'm happy with the appointment as he knows the group we have got. A new man would ask for time to assess the players. Will everything that is going on are only 6 points off the top. Time for us all me included to get behind the club as long as Tim gets the backing he needs an he keeps the philosophy in playing attacking good football and can drum into the players to work hard for the club

I'm just worried about what will happen if Tim can't get the club into Europe.
Will that mean selling players.

To me it's a huge gamble, and to the poster comparing Tim Sherwood to pep
At barca, what are you smokin, pep
Took over a team already top notch,
Sherwood has a bunch of players that
Need time to gel.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wasn't comparing Tim to Pep I was pointing out that despite his lack of any managerial experience he was given a chance. Success is relevent to the situation. Employing Van Gaal, Capello, Hoddle or any other experienced manager is by no means a sure thing. Glad I could help you understand. Merry Christmas

Daniel levy should give the spurs managers job to tim sherwood at least until the end of the season, sherwood you can see knows the club inside out from our youth players right through to our first team players, levy seems to think by appointing a foreign manager he must be better than a british manager just because he's foreign, well this is clearly NOT the case, just look at the fantastic job harry redknapp did while he was the tottenham manager, redknapp was our best manager for many a year and he was english, I wish levy would change his mindset about appointing a foreign manager, levy should never have sacked harry(houdini)redknapp, give tim sherwood the job now mr levy!

I think levy has made a big mistake.
You can't expect to reach top 4 or reach euro places with a
Unqualified manager.

My 2nd point is what kind of manager will want to manage a
Club under a director of football, not the best ones.

How can a manager use a squad he only agreed to not chose.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

1 - Pep Guardiola had absolutely zero experience when he took over at Barca. During their dominance in the 70's and 80's Liverpool promoted from within, it was called 'the boot room'.
2 - All across Europe clubs manage perfectly well with a DoF, it's just an English unwillingness to try anything different. Sami Hyppia is working very happy in Germany with a DoF, and bringing success to Leverkusen.
Every managerial appointment is a gamble regardless of experience, there's no easy answer!
