Modric to madrid in swap for ozil would be good. get in Ba Baines Damaio Vertoghen and berbatov (he has more to game than Ade) and adam johnson and we would see us push on next season above gooners. THe news of Asamoah sounds good too but not sure how good he is but undinese are decent team with good players.

Torres showed in small bursts in the CL final what he can really do.At Spurs he would excel with the way we are playing.Selling Modric because he wants to go.Get Dembelle to replace him.Add Ade and if Defoe wants to leave replace him with Damaio.Add Vertoghen and Baines (money from A&E sale+peanuts back to them) makes us a far stronger team and happier.

Sell Modric to Madrid. Pickup Alonso! he would slot straight in! He was another player who was severely underrated in midfield for the simple things he done so well.
I would like Levy to look into the Torres deal. I would not say no to him. He is slowly showing the promise he did at Liverpool.
Maybe even getting Drogba but i hear a Chinese or Russian team are willing to give him 200,000 a week! so probably not.

I feel sorry for Tottenham. Chelsea were soo lucky in almost every game they have played since Di Matteo took over, infact their luck has been outrageous sometimes. You easily deserved champions league but the whole Redknapp to England thing and the many bad decisions against you cost you big.
Keep your chin up lads, Vertonghen wants you ahead of Arsenal eventhough they are in the Cl (thanks to Martin Fulop). I reckon you lot will have the last laugh in a year or two and Arsenal fans need to get a grip and see that Wba game was a taste of whats coming, the only difference being that there will be no goalkeeper to set up their goals and hence Arsenal lose.
I hope my team Liverpool are competing.

Lads we heard all this last year . If Fabregas goes Arsenal are finished, If Nasri goes too Arsenal will collapse. In October everyone thought it would be a miracle if Arsenal finished in the top ten. This year we finished higher in the league than we have done in the past 3 seasons without the two players " we couldn't do without". RVP has had 1 good season (he is usually injured by November ) and he will find that no-one is bigger than the club. If he goes he will be replaced. Thankfully, like yourselves , we don't allow players to dictate to the club so we don't have strops from players like Drogba and Rooney. If they don't want to play for the shirt well, thanks for your goals, bu see ya.

But who else scored goals for you this year?? if he isnt there, who is going to replace those? thats the difference between fabregas and nasri going, they werent the main goal scorers. when VP goes, you dont have a fall back position, and even if a proven scorer comes in, will he start knocking them in from the start?? you could be behind the 8 ball before the season starts, and cant rely on us handing it to you every year like we did this year, even then you almost fluffed your lines!!

RVP last of the old gooner school of quality since then wenger has lost the plot and signed rubbish i.e. chamahk benyoun on loan Gervinho, walcott 1 in 3 game man koscielny pants santos average list goes on. No more Viera petit henry overmars signings. Next year 6th will be a dream spot more likely 8th though with toons and sunderland improving.

Haha Koscielny is one of the best young centre backs in Europe and has been called up to the French National Squad for Euro 2012.
As an Arsenal fan I shouldn't, but I do like Spurs, but that was a ridiculous comment!

It was from mostly gooners who told me that koscielny is pants..we shall see how well france do in euros to see if he reflects downturn in french fortunes with regard player quality or a new crop of good talent emerging. The fact that arsenal so vunerable at the back suggests you still have problems like us.

If Modric and Bale go, it will be for 25m each or more so we're looking at 50m+ to spend on players and WAGES. why not secure adebayors services for two years and buy Sahin (plus wages) or Cristian Erikson at Ajax, he's quality. Sell pienaar, gomes, bassong, bentley and the fringe players. However, Dos Santos needs to play more, HR has a habit of wasting talent (bentley krancjar Bostock) and Coulibaly could make PL debut. He will be world class, no doubt. Bring up moe youngsters, and invest heavily in a Modric replacement.

Please have more class rather than blaming Levy for this seasons position. We finished fourth and have a really bright future ahead if we can be clever in this next window. Vertonghen is still very much our top priority and Junior Hoilett certainly high on the acquisitions list. I would force the Toon hard and make a bold statement for Papiss Cisse. £25m would be enough to prize away one of the brightest emerging stars in world football. he literally has everything and I would relish to see him with a player like VDV or even Berbatov alongside and balls whipping in from Modric, Bale and Lennon. On the Berbatov front I say why not get him back, he was amazing at Spurs has only matured and wod appreciate us now at this stage of his career.
I really don't see the doom and gloom some of you are painting, we have emerging talent like Caulker, Naughton, Ceballos, Coulibally and Kane. We are about to build a shiny new stadium, we are in the top 4 and Uefa Cup. We have a few of the best players in Europe and we have a load of cash and players to sell. If we snapped up Vorm, Vertonghen, Hoilett, Dmbele, Krasic, Berbatov, Huntelaar and Papiss Cisse you'd be telling me we are going to win the league. Well those players are all well within our reach if we strip out Gomes, Bassong, Corluka, Jenas, Pienaar, Jrancjar, Bentley and release Adebayor.
Our youth will emerge this season as well in Uefa Cup and League Cup games, and I promise you Naughton and Coulibally for two will become world class players. I never thought Walker would usurp Naughton and he has become a player I admire, but as crazy as this may sound I believe Naughton is even better. Coulibally has everything and is currently scoring for fun in the reserves, I say let him lose as he ready has the physical strength to compete like Wayne Rooney did all those years ago. One last mention about two other players, firstly Cauljer who had been outstanding at Swansea. Get him under the King guidance and he will emerge as a rock in defence. The other player is probably the biggest disaspointment since Gareth Bake lost all those games without showing any hint of the player we now see. That player is Giovanni Dos Santos, skilful and talented beyond doubt but seems to fail to hold down a regular team placing. This year he will emerge as the star he is, provided we can hang onto him. He has shown recent signs of turning the corner, after struggling to adapt to English football. This season with a run of Iefa Cup and League Cup games I am certain he can eventually outshine Lennon on the RM.
So stop crying and unlike some fans be gracious in defeat. Well done Wenger and Arsenal for taking a very shallow squad with injury problems all season into 3rd spot. Well done Chelsea for over overcoming all odds beating Bardelona over 180 minutes and then taking European glory on the home turf of Bayern Munich with a depleted side. Enjoy your glory and success but don't laugh too much at our misfortune because we might just have the last laugh next season.

Not sure i hold the same belief in Dos Santos as you do. Personally, i think hes had plenty of chances over the 3 (or is it 4) years he's been with us. He can do it in the green of Mexico, but never seen it in the Lillywhite. Other than that, well said Oracle.

One slight flaw in your argument ( well there are loads but i cant be bothered) and that is the "emerging stars" bit. I think our close neighbours have spent the last 10 seasons building then rebuilding their side with "young emerging talent". Now thats all good and dandy but they have won bugger all to fill their New trophy cabinet in their souper douper stadium. Yes, the likes of Walker have emerged but dont assume we have a conveyor belt of talent waiting to come in. 99% of the young lads we have out on loan will not make the grade. Lets hope your faith in Levy and his deep trouser pockets will, indeed, secure the players you assume are begging to join us. Time will tell, eh?

A good post, but that is a lot of turmoil and payers to be bedded in and learn to play with each other. Just can't see us doing that much business a single transfer window ...come to that can't see us doing that much business in the next 2 seasons.

Some of the names being mentioned on here to join spurs is laughable, Giroud, Ba etc, why would they go to tottenham, what can they offer?
As i said last year spurs have put together a good team but it will not last, Modric will be off, Adebayor will go, VdV will go after the euros as hes not gonna want to play in the europa league again.
Spurs need to focus on keeping their squad intact or they will be struggling for top 6 next season
G Bale will go eventually aswell dont kid yourselves.
Cant even finish above the gunners with a 13 point head start, always seond in north london boys!!

With out wanting to upset my fellow spurs, but for me I think if we get 40 million for modric then take it.
Same goes for Bale, out of the 2 i'd like to see Bale stay over Modric.
Modric upset our start to last season if he truely thinks he can better him self elsewhere then let him go, someone may want to point out Berbatov situation not really set the world alight since leaving the lane.
Modric does not score enough goals, and very little assists. Look at other players in his postion.
There is talk about Ganso coming, looks amazing on youtube but then so did Rebrov enough said.
Lets look up and forward and remember no player is bigger than out club.

Berba didnt get enough games at united. Modric as you said has not done as well this season i think as you said so time to cash in. go for Ba berba Giroud and remy if we can them. We were let down on scoring front from strikers especially against manx chavski's and gooners. Sandro to step up and play more too. Top quality talent.

Everyone saying get rid of Bale & Modric for the money & bring in other big players, it wont work. Modric holds the team together, & Bale is the creativity that makes it. Without them, we would collapse. Look at the games last season when we didnt have Bale, we crumbled, becuase he fits our style of play EXACTLY right, with Modric feeding the balls here there & everywhere. Just wouldn't be the same team, whoever comes in to replace them.
Going back on what I said the other day, seal Ade, & get Huntelaar OR Llorente. This guy is top quality, & unfortunately after Chelski won & we don't have champo league (even tho we should, cos we played 38 long & hard games to get that spot) I dont think he would come. If Levy worked his magic somehow & brought him in tho, I would be a happy yod indeed.
