Have been a massive supporter of levy! But the clock is now ticking 4 seasons without signing the striker we so desperately need! Put up or get out.

Said on here last week that Livermore is rubbish, some people replied saying he is tidy, steady, efficient. He is shocking, no pace, always gives the ball away, only passes sideways or backwards. He aint good enough by a mile so what is the point with him. One of the worse midfielders ever to wear a Tottenham Hotspur shirt

Believable11 Unbelievable8

I disagree

Spurs Lad

Agree4 Disagree3

That's why he just got an England call up? One of the best young talents in England.... Go back to your fantasy football pal

Rufus

Agree5 Disagree4

He ant a bad player but he is not a week in week out player for us just yet nor is he going to change a game. For now sub at best or maybe a season long loan in the prem
Mr g

One of the best young talents in england? cant wait for 2014 then...

Agree5 Disagree0

I think we need to get of Livermores back a little here. I'm not his biggest fan and I'd much prefer Sandro, Parker and Hudd in front of him, Livermore has barely featured for us so give him time. He's a young English boy through our academy, when was the last one!

Agree1 Disagree1

He's what...20? He's in our starting line up and just got called into the England and Olympic squads. So what your saying is that you know better than AVB, Roy Hodgson and Stuart Pearce? Oh and throw Harry into that as well. I understand your entitled to your opinion but I think some of you guys are in dreamland regarding our transfer targets, Im happy that we have quality English players coming through rather than throwing money at unproven foreign "stars".

Rufus

Rufus I believe he's 22 .... But still plenty .... Plenty of growing to do

GET LEVY OUT {Ed008's Note - It begins...

Believable5 Unbelievable5

I wish people would wait till 1st sept.
Then shout if we need too.

Agree4 Disagree4

I worry about strikers too but levy has done a good job but he really needs to get at least one more striker in but id prefer 2 ade or dzeko and llorent or leandro Damaio. Come on levy pull out a few big signings.

This is getting ridiculous
every name under the sun we getting linked with and yet with the first game of the season under our belts we are no better off than when we limped over the line last season
new gk required
new centre midfielder
and at least 1 striker
this is the minimum
plenty of money but no ambition

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I am as frustrated as the next spurs fan in regards to the lack of signings, especially the strike options however we have to be realistic! I can't believe we have not made enquiries about a number of top strikers however with no CL on offer and a wage structure which is dwarfed by the big boys it was always gonna be difficult! I think the fact that we are now reported to be looking a Caroll highlighs how desperate things are becoming (He was surely never our number 1 target, probably number 6 or 7 on the list) but we are where we are plus all we can do is hope Levy/AVB pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat before the window closes! Keep the faith and judge after Sept 1st

Agree0 Disagree0

If thats the case , how can Everton / Southampton even Qpr , be trying or even signing players . Are we judged lower than them ? Once again Everton have made a cracking signing up front , But us ??????
Davo

Agree2 Disagree0

I just refuse to believe that Levy/AVB will get to the 1st Sept without adding quality players in the area's we all know are needed (I think the keeper situation may wait til Jan personally).
Levy sacks Redknapp, appoints AVB, stands firm on Modric all summer and then sells a couple of weeks before the window shuts, then signs NO ONE? Aint gonna happen in my mind!

Wish people would stop moaning about Levy leaving it until the last minute and calling for him to go

Maybe AVB hasnt identified who he would like to bring in yet, maybe we have to wait for Modric deal to go through before we can splash out on a new forward

Levy will be well aware that we need a new forward and certainly wont let the club battle through to January with just Defoe, give the guy a break, im sure he has got it all under control

Glenn

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Yup..... Battle through to January and be 20 points of the pace

Agree2 Disagree2

Give levy a break this bloke looks at players he wants that are cheap n average he has no football brain wot so ever n don't say he got vert n sig.Vert was hr choice n had him scouted sig was suggested to avb who said would like the player levy didn't spot them he just brokers deals n we almost lost vert because of his mucking about he needs to make serious offers to clubs n offer decent wages to players not keep takin the p***

Agree1 Disagree1

Glenn, I would very much doubt any manager in the land would not have targets if they were taking on a new job. If signing players is dependent on Modric going then Levy needed to get rid of him ASAP for the best price we could get even if it was £25m, so Levy is at fault. I have stood by Levy for season after season, transfer window after transfer window and if we sign what we need by 1st sept then I will be on here praising him once again, however if he doesn't produce this time he needs to leave, it doesn't need to be a massive marque signing (tho that would be great), but it does need to be the right player in the right position, we have missed out on player after player because of Levy & Co. Just look at Ramierz going to Soton because the offered better wages. players at clubs like Sevilla, villareal and such clubs in financial problems why ain't we looking at taking advantage of this.... IMO levy has 10 days left to sort this out, which in total has given him about 3 years (6 transfer windows) to buy the striker we have needed. I think that is long enough now

Is there any end to this frustration.......we seem to be associated with any player of note in the whole of Europe, yet nothing happens. Avb was interviewed at length for the post of manager and I am sure he was asked what his aspirations for the club were and also possible targets identified........so why all the fish trading tactics when it comes to buying/bidding for players, yes thfc is a buisness but like any buisness it needs investment (ie. players) to move forward, even to us armchair managers on this forum it is glaringly obvious where we need to strengthen yet nothing of any note is happening........to h3 ll with all this in levy we trust drivile it's time to put up or shut up Daniel........if not then the last 3 seasons have been for nothing...............turning into another disappointing transfer window. ................end of rant

Believable7 Unbelievable1

If we say as we are, it wont just be a disappointing window, it will be a disappointing season and AVB will get the brunt of it.
The media will crucify him and , if spurs dont sign anyone, it won't be his fault.

Ok we all know what we need and we are not the manager or levy. I'm sure they both also what we need. the regulars and eds all know I'm very vocal here about the Harry situation and levy to gooooo. BUT I love my club as all you lot do too. So let's wait till next Friday, the end of the window and let's see if levy delivers to the paying fans what we ALL want. Mean while rubbish the shyt posts about who we are going to buy. It's always public about the player we have had offers for turned down. I think it's done deliberately by the board so other team dnt bid for the players we really want. Now let's just wait and see and get behind all at the lane and see what's goin to happen

This is being reported on Sky Sports News site: Reports in Italy claim Juventus have made an improved offer of €18million (£14million) for Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente and are close to striking a deal for the Spanish international.

C'mon DL - surely to God, we can afford £15m. PLEEEASE!

Mind you, given the lack of penetration and creativity against the Toon, maybe we are putting together a bid for Moutinho instead? (Yeah, I wish)

Believable6 Unbelievable1

At this point I'd be happy if DL signed the ol' geezer from the Benny hill show, common mate just sign someone, preferably someone with a heartbeat.

Agree3 Disagree1

The ole geezer from Benny Hill show is already between the sticks for us.

Can anyone tell me why we haven't made a bid to bring Berba back? at 5M he'd be a bargain!

And as a footnote - If Ade wasn't going to accept lesser wages back in July, why would he change his mind now?

I dread the thought of Defoe being the only striker, so C'mon Levy....do the right thing for the club instead of the shareholders!

Lads this is wot am saying about Avb if he goes outs and gets u chemakh that will tell u this bloke hasn't got a clue! I fear for u boys with him in charge!

Pinky {Ed008's Note - Chamakh isn't a bad player just plays for a bad club but he is not signing for Spurs!

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Bad club, Ed008 - Think you need a history lesson. {Ed008's Note - I know my history of football I'm just messing with the Arsenals fans...

100% loss record to date.
0 strikers sorted.
If we only end up getting Ade back them it will be a disgrace it wasn't sorted for the first game and we still don't have enough cover up top - AVB said after our beating 'ONE mire striker' !
Unless Llorente does show up with Ade then we are in trouble with no chance of top 4.
If not ever intending on forking out big bucks then should've tied up Ade and Berbs for £10m, swallowed some wage/signing on payments and got on with having two proven Prem goalscorers for day one.
