Great news on baldini, now let's go get Bernard, Soldado and a decent left back ( even though benni is a legend) damiao can chip off! If he wanted to play for us we would of got him 4 windows ago! And Jackson Martinez if there's anything left in the kitty.

Benny is a leg-end.

We have Rose who was blooded in the Prem last season and earned good reviews and, we pulled a fast one to bring in Fryers so left-back is worth trying them, with Vert and Naughton as emergency cover. We need a striker, ideally two, a creative midfielder and to keep Bale. That's as good as we can get and could push us on.

The thing I love about benni is that he states he's in it for the money! None of this fake pledges to fans ala judas Campbell or playing for a contract then being s**** when u get it yes you MR adebayor! And on bis day benni is a great player

On his day he has been very good but the guy is brainless. Switches off constantly and last season was awful for the most part. In his time with us his mistakes, poor positioning and lack of concentration must have cost us 20+ goals easily.

Confirmed by SS Baldini signed with Spurs. Something that would have been seen unrealistic 5-10 years ago. Hopefully this will propel, inch needed quality signings as I'm fed up of us being linked to names only to be let down. This season is the one to make it happen or lose Bale.

It has been confirmed by tv that Spurs have appointed Baldini as Director of Football. A real step forward. This kind of move would have been seen unrealistic 5-6 years ago.

The Times are reporting that AVB has turned down the chance to Join PSG which would have seen him in the top 3 best paid managers in the world!

If this is true.

To all you AVB doubters, get behind the man! He has a plan which he clearly believes in and has now made the biggest statement he possibly can to back this up!

He is Spurs and so are we, can't wait for the season to start and truly believe we will see some quality brought in over the summer.

I believe he has a plan and with Baldini announced I think that cements AVB and hopefully Bale for next season. but I wouldn't mind a bet that AVB and Bale depart to the same pastures new next summer.

Will probably wait around a year and see how he does. He could always head to RM/PSG/Monaco next season if their managers flop.
