A win and there is still the dark cloud hanging over us, disarray and turmoil Sherwood liked the guy he had his chance and blew it by slagging off team in public great managers and motivaters do there talking in the dressing room you see results on the pitch get my point, he is going out with a bang making two many enemies' within and outside the club making us very public . Forget de boer pochenitti keep saying it watch out Martinez is the guy that the top boys at spurs want . Sherwood gave us a hint when he praised Everton's transfer policy .

Martinez was the man BEFORE AVB, surely we were in for him if we'd also considered Rodgers? Always seemed a no-brainer to me; plays great football, has turned players into big fees and managed to replace them again in a squad punching well above it's weight and. won a major trophy. The relegation would've probably happened before it did with any other manager.
Can't see him leaving Everton at all, he and they both do the long-term relationship and loyalty thing if they can.

One thing is for sure we will not get Martinez, we have missed that boat! a lot of comments on here re who the next manager should be. whoever we chose they must bring a philosophy with them and we must stick with him! I keep seeing big names like LVG but for me I question his desire and the longevity of that appointment, anyone saying either I am coming to PL or retiring has to have a question mark over them! Martinez and Rogers are perfect examples of managers with a philosophy which they won't budge from, they were not big names, didn't come from massive clubs however have come good plus play a style of football which excites fans. since the AVB appointment how we at the lane have longed for this, aside from the brilliance of bale we have had FA to shout about! The atmosphere at the lane has been shocking this season and whilst this is clearly down to a combination of raised expectations with massive disappointment, I am sure the brand of football (or lack of it) is the biggest disappointment of all!

For me that is why the next appointment must come with a clear message and not just blood and guts or a list of unrealistic transfer targets to hide behind please! I ain't going to get excited about a big name unless he comes with a clear football philosophy, a long term plan and a style of play to bring the smiles back around WHL!

well done sherwood for slagging off the players they are not good enough sandro is average at best and rose and naughton are pub players there is big problems at spurs with player power get rid of them in the summer

Valley, hope this is a joke! Naughton and rose are not good enough, never have been, you can add Kane, Obika, Dawson as well, but Sandro bleeds for our club . Like most of our recent buys, who WERE good experienced internationals, Sandro has been played in wrong formations, out of position, alongside totally inferior team mates, by managers who were totally inept, and who were determined to use our club for their means rather than the benefit of the club . TS should have never got the job, even short term . Their isn't one other top team who would have given an unproven manager the top job unless they were run by penny pinchers like Lewis and Levy! I don't know exactly who we need, a manager with experience, can man manage and is used to having both foreign and English players, can recongnise both good and crap players, and can play modern football . TS seems to have a problem with both skillful players and stars . Yes it's nice to have honest hard working players, but he would fill our team with headless chickens that look good statistically, but have no effect at all . He spouts the crap that players need to have PL experience, but brought along with the right team mates, manager with the right attitude, and played to their strengths, then these players can soon adjust . Dare I say it, but Wenger has been doing it for years to great effect . TS is so negative, and should keep his mouth shut outside the ground . He is payed to manage the players, something he seems incapable of doing!

I'm with davo, only 3 more games to put up with him! You you can tell he worked under Harry, loves a chat does Tim.

Does anyone (perhaps not The Oracle) actually know whether Sherwood will be sacked at the end of the season, and if Van Gaal has actually agreed to join us? Surely Sky couldn't have reported the story regarding Sherwood's departure without pretty concrete evidence.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This isn't my info but someone who used to post on here and is rarely wrong, Sherwood will definitely go and then it won't be Van Gaal that's just lazy journalism that has gathered pace. Its De Boer or Pochettino. Forget Van Gaal.

thoughts on sandro not even making the bench?

Tims idea of man management?

Agree0 Disagree0

Tim did say he doesn't know who his best XI is.

{Ed008's Note - Looks like he doesn't even know which positions they play in aswell..

A man with lack of managerial and man management experience . Speak for its self

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand Tims comments about not good enough . "at the moment" being the key content of the comment.

Sandro has struggle since his return, but dropping him from the bench and publicly commenting confirms that Tim is not ready for management at any level.

The longer Tim is in charge and talking publicaly the bigger the problems in the dressing room will become. The exchange between Rose and Parks clearly indicates that harmony is lacking.
