Spurs do not/ will not have a £100+ million warchest, even with the sale of Bale.

If Bale was to be sold no one would pay the figures Spurs fans are throwing around (no £60/ 70 million), expect £40 million tops which I only say that high due to the ridiculous £35 million paid for Carroll.

Man Utd don't want Modric, he will stay at Spurs as will VDV.

No world-class signings will be made as Spurs won't be in the Champions League next season. Expect a general strengthening without much change to the starting xi.

All of which will result in a solid 5th place at the end of next season.

Rooney says''I saw [those reports], but I've never seen such rubbish in my life, " he said. "My relationship with Sir Alex has no problems whatsoever.

"I'm enjoying my football here and if I was going to leave in the summer I wouldn't have signed a new contract."

. . .
i wish our star players could assure the fans over there future like wayne has.
the likes of rooney, lampard, giggs, scholes, are legends because of the way they have devoted themselves to their club.
if the likes of bale, modric, vdv, lennon etc stick with our club and turn us into title winners and bring honours home, the amount of respect they would generate is incredible. each and every individual player at our club would know they achieved it the hard way.

take a look at berbatov and carrick and how much their careers have floped since moving away from the lane. .yes they have won trophys but i can assure you they have contributed hardly anything. they are what we call gold diggers. its like they have hung up their boots already, come in and take there undeserved salary.

our club act as 1 big family, somthing we never use to do serveral years ago. the transformation is astonishing, the attitude and belief our players have now makes everysingle tottenham fan proud. i believe that with a few additions to this squad such as a world class striker and right back we can push further then 4th. every pundit, commentator and fans from every club can see how much of a threat we are becoming. this season we have had bad injuries with big players out for serveral months, if my minds correct i do not think we have put out a full strong first 11 this season which has set us back and cost us in certain games we should not be losing.

all in all if our players achieved things then know we are doing it the hard way. we don't have a billionnair buyer like city and chelsea who have baught success. no. . we have something far greater. belief, loyalty, friendship.

So what if we draw barcelona?

instead of sitting back and admiring them, we should play our own game.utilising crouch would give them something different to think about, and as the spanish league proves, they are not unbeatable.

i feel if we draw the supposedly weaker names in the draw, this could backfire on us, with spurs entering the game as favourites.
lets have one of the stronger teams, preferably not english though, so we can rise to the challenge as the underdogs.

tomorrow will tell

. . . . .

i agree, i wouldn't want any english teams or inter as we have already played them.
to be honest i would not mind madrid. would be an amazing game.

Spurs are worried that Champion League Football is now in the the lap of the Gods. Unlikely to win the Champions League albeit possible, and looking highly likely to finish 5th with Chelsea, Liverpool and Man city away and Arsenal still to play at home it looks a challenge to say the least.

With loads of money from the Champions League, new sponsors and existing warchest success may appear likely. The fear is the Europa League which could see the exit of Bale and Modric. At £60m and £35m respectively there would clearly be funds to buy whoever they wanted, but the big dilemma is who would come with Europa Football their prize.

Expect the following realistic moves:

Transfers Out
Keane - West Ham - £6m
Krancjar - Everton - £6m
Bentley - Birmingham - £8m
Pavlyuchenko - Spartak Moscow - £9m
Bassong - PSV - £8m
O'Hara - Wolves - £6m
Bale - Real Madrid - £60m
Modric - Man United - £35m
Foster - West Ham - £5m

Transfers In
Green - £6m
Diarra - £10m
Llorente - £35m
Nani - £23m (Part of Modric deal)
Then any one of 30 other payers they have targetted.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

you arsenal fans make me sick. bale and modric will not leave spurs. our squad is on the rise and they all want to be part of it. with a few additions to our squad we will be even stronger.
arsenal fans disgust me.

this was a typical rat of an arsenal fan who wrote this and to be clear i think you should be focusing on your teams downfall. no trophys, no progression, boring.

oh my god. in what way is this realistic. why do we have to sell modric and bale to raise funds. automatically you assume they will leave if we don't get top4. sorry but its kind of patheitc.
we have 45 million in the bank which will rise at the end of the season which is why we don't have to sell.
whether we make top 4 or not bale and modric know we have a stong squad and the folowing season with the right addition we will be a strong force.

i think you should be worrying about your own players. . fabregas wanting to leave, v.persie always injured, walcottt diving with others. no1 respects arsenal like they did 7 years ago. your an overated team being pushed a side. arghhhhhh arsenal fans feeling left out. things have changed we have become the vocal point. people admire the way we play. jelouse arsenal fans on the downfall.

Neither Modric or Bale will leave this summer regardless, of course Spurs hope to make the CL again but both players signed extension contracts and are happy and Spurs won't sell.

The revenues plus the other players at clubs on loan to sell deals will boost the funds available and your list of players out other than Modric and Bale looks about right although who is Foster? Dos Santos will most likely move permanently to Racing and Hutton should move too.

Incoming players. With Sandro starting to show he is settling well and Wilson Palacios in the squad Diarra is no longer a target although if Madrid decided to sell for a certain price Harry might be tempted although if West Ham got relegated he would be more inclined to try again for Parker

Harry certainly would like Richards and Young and depending on Gallas extending or not and King and Woodgate's realistic chances would also like Gary Cahill.

The issues are really will City sell Richards, will Young prefer United, so they are just that -only possibilities

The big question mark remains strikers, no CL football would mean reduced choices. Llorente is certainly admired but would be a tough target with CL unlikely without. There's certainly lots of strikers being considered and Gameiro is one that list even if he's not the big target man striker Harry would like to add
