Northern yod here, live just down road from Sunderland. These lads love Sessegnon up here. He is a god. Would be a decent addition to our squad but the S'land fans ive talked to would like Defoe or Huddlestone as part of any deal.

I see that Oracles prediction of the Olympic stadium was like most(probably all) of his others........
I would like the Super Spurs to sign another keeper, either Cesar,Lloris or Vorm,keep Naughton as cover for both full backs.
If sulky mods goes(not fussed if he stays or goes, but get it done sooner rather than later)i am on the wagon that says may not need a direct replacement, just drop VDV back.
If Ade signs,i would be happy but i would want him to stay in the middle and stop going to the flanks(so many times last season he went wide leaving no-one in the middle).Then sign one other striker and give a couple of youngsters game time(europa/carling) and hope hey can step up if needed

I fear we are falling further behind and AVB hasn't shown the ambition I was hoping for.
Our strikers don't frighten the opposition like rooner, aguero or van persie.
We still have a long way to go this transfer window to be competing in the top 4 again.

{Ed008's Note - Don't blame AVB you got Top 4 last season and if anything you've improved the squad buying players isn't like Fifa easy! So many details to be sorted out can't buy players for the sake of it!

Give AVB a chance, one of the challenges I see is everyone and his dog knows we need strikers ...so even I can see what that does to the price every time we enquire about someone.

Not really anything to do with Spurs , but working with abramavich at chavski must be a minefield . Cavani wants to go there , wants £150k a week same as terry and lampard , but Roman is unsure . I certainly know who I would spend £150k a week on , and it wouldnt be one of the old pensioners mentioned !!

Love um or hate um Lampard has scored a lot of goals from midfield and Terry has , despite his obvious issues off the field, been the most sucessful English captain for many a year.In terms of age at least 3 of Spurs first choice players last year are older than Terry and 2 of those are older than Lampard.

I didnt say that terry and lampard werent worth their money , but thinking about it , no players are worth more than £50k a week , I said that I would rather pay Cavani £150k than the other 2 old age pensioners . As for me yep I am pretty thick so had to look up what context means so had a quick look in Rios dictionary and it seems it`s something to do with a prisoner using his mobile.
The point I was making was you infer you know what RA is thinking and what wages Lampard and Terry are earning.
As it happens I agree with what you say about players earning too much but hey I guess you wouldn’t want anyone as thick as me agreeing with something an intellectual like you says.

There has been all this talk about a huge transfer budget being made available but it really does appear to be same old same old. In other words limited net transfer spend, more along the lines of one player out in to fund any new signings factored into that no doubt was a big fee for Moderic
Last season there was said to be a £27 million surplus in transfer dealings and in this window to date there has been a net spend of £7 million.
Strong hints now that Mods won’t after all be going to Spain and DL has suggested that he won’t be sold to another EPL team. So I wouldn’t put any money on him going anywhere any time soon or if he does for a fee will be way below what he was valued at 12 months ago. If you have any ambition to do well in the EPL you don’t sell to a rival.
We were told here is a £100 million (included in that was the wage costs) available. The two confirmed signings if they are a 4 year deal at £60k a week, which I suspect is way under what they are being paid, and say Ade comes for a fee of £7 million on a four year £110k a week contract will mean around that some £75+ million of that £100 million is already accounted for so no wonder things have slowed .
Yes a couple of players with more potential have come in but once past the first 11 is the squad any better than last year?

If ade does sign he will also get a big signing on fee to offset his loss in wages that is why the fee is so low
Be it a transfer fee or a signing on fee still will come from the same pot.
If the rumours are true the new Bale contract and Ades contract will have blown the old wage limit out the water.
Come on!! The fella has barely got his a**e into the managers chair and we are already having doom and gloom posts about who we cant get/afford blah de blah. NOBODY knows exactly how much the club has to spend on players, £100 million? £25 million? Total speculation and there isnt anybody here ITK who can truthfully clarify that.
The transfer window isnt about to slam shut and we are notorious for doing deals in the final furlong than right at the start. Lets keep calm and wait and see, eh?

The papers link us with everyone from prince charles to prince charming. who knows the players avb and thfc are in for , its not champ manager, deals take time, and cause the media darling has gone, a lot of bull...t is being written about our great xclub. if the squad isint added to by time deadline ends no one will be more dissapointed than me, but i tnk we may be pleasently surprised, no more old cronies, i for one am looking forward to new season just keep the belief

Chelsea are desperate for him to do well, but there's a reason he hardly played at Swansea last season. If he had come through at a club like west brom there wouldn't be all this hype
