Ok so with all the names and rumours we all keep seeing who are Tottenham actually getting this summer?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bernard, Guarin, Villa and Soldado.

Gareth Barry and rodrigo

After watching uragay kicking lumps out of saldado he would have no probs in the epl! Fingers crossed on us getting him {Ed002's Note - There is certainly interest.}

Agree0 Disagree0

If we were interested then we should have got as far as possible with Valencia at least about an acceptable bid already. A decent ConFed Cup would only inflate his price whereas not featuring much wouldn't have devalued him. never our style though.

Ok here is my take of us so far. Bale is linked with every team who has money to burn, and us knowing levy a big offer will get levy to sell. I. e Madrid. But hers is this why r they not making an actual bid?there manager spot is still vacant and with angelotti being linked I think there wait for that to happen 1st. That bring me on avb he is high on the Arabs list to go to psg. And with 10m release clause as reported on avb head, it's not a price tag for psg to be scared off. Is that the reason for the delay I'm bringing the much rumoured dof in??
I'm still surprised why Tottenham have not offered bale an extended contract, nor has bale come out and request a move.
I must say so far I admire the young British talent in bale and what a world class pro he has turned out to become. He hasn't come out like mod or berba and even hinted of a move. So far so good BUT we r spurs so sit tight boys its going to be a bumpy ride till the end of August.
Levy start early please and get all rumours ended, you know what to do. And let's have a positive mid season in stead of running round looking for players 2 hours before the deadline or even worse a new manager

Bale does seem to be too humble of a person and a genuine nice guy to hand in a transfer request or hold the club hostage like Modric did.

Another reason why I think he will be in a Spurs shirt next season.

Levy knows if he sells Bale it will all but confirm us as a selling club. Although £80+ would be fantastic and would give us some funds to buy other players. there is dignity to look at and I think that'll be worth more to Levy than money, believe it or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see levy taking the money for both Bale and AVB £90mill combined would be to much for him to turn down.

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct but Levy will do all he can to ensure it looks like the individuals forced his arm along with the money to save face. Only half would be reinvested, a couple of £15-20m signings, a cheaper addition or two, then banking £50m.

Maybe this is a bit naive but with Bale being the face of the new BT prem league coverage do u think that would make a difference him being sold. Sure he could sign for another prem club so they could change the adverts and posters for that (im certain we won't sell to a prem club anyway). I don't think they have la liga, and must have got assurances that he would still be in the prem before they paid him all that money doesn't look too good for them if he's no longer playing in the epl with all them posters.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good point made a while ago somewhere before the season ended but, been forgotten with the paper-talk of him leaving going nuts at this time of year. I would say there could be a buy-out deal with BT as part of the transfer if it was an issue. I think he's getting a couple of million for it so as part of an £80m+ deal it would be relatively small-fry.

Regardless of him being humble or anything like that, bale doesn't have to do anything. his agent would do it for him! Remember agents have no soul, heart or morals! But I do believe he will stay?

Someone suggested Van Ginkel as a possible option about a month ago and got lots of disagrees, now quite a few top teams are after him.

With chelsea bringing in schurrle and already having mata, oscar and hazard

How about a cheeky bid on moses of around 5-8mil, see what they say
He'd be a good player for us, either backup for bale and lennon or possibly push lennon for a starting spot

Worth a enquiry surely!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

These Chelsea players get too used their inflated wages, a sign of a small club with lots of money who are desperate to pay these players stupid money to get them to join. We can do a lot better than Moses.

I'm starting to get really p***ed off with Real Madrid. Zidane has come out AGAIN and has urged Bale to quit Spurs. If this isn't tapping up a player then the world has gone mad
Something needs to happen and it needs to be sorted out NOW! He needs to. Leave his big ego out of this and stop urging a player who is under contract to force his way out the club!

Thus is just ridiculous now, I'm sure you all agree.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mate i'm a LFC fan and I can't agree with you enough, there publicly trying to court Suarez and the newspaper Marca doesn't help either. It really is a joke as to why FIFA our UEFA don't investigate and punish them for public tapping up of bale and suarez.

Agree0 Disagree0

FIFA/eufa will not investigate Real Madrid just because they are Real Madrid.
Same goes for Barcelona.
One rule for them, one for the rest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave, as an Arsenal fan, I would also like to express my displeasure with Madrids behavior. We of course have been the victims of tapping up in the past.

Bale is a contracted Tottenham player, and for Zidane to come out and urge Bale to hand in a request is really quite disgusting. FIFA needs to do something about this.

Agree0 Disagree0

They have gotten away with it for years we are not the first club they have done it to and won't be the last. If they can do it to a club the size of man u they got no problems doing it to us, uefa won't pull them up over it as they are a "special" club and do u thhinl ffp is going to bother them with the debts they have they should'nt be able to afford 85p let alone 85m for bale. Oh and its nice of modrat to show his true colours again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Havent they been funded by the Royal family for years?

I have just counted 32 players rumoured to be signing for spurs in the past three weeks, I hate to say it, but we will have to wait until August for the big signings. Levy needs to look for what's right for the club, not a DEAL like Dempsey and VDV

Fraz

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why what was wrong with VDV?

Agree0 Disagree0

VDV was top class for us was more gutted when we sold him than modric he was a big game player who scored goals in big games. The only problem with him was his injuries took there toll on him he should never have been sold.

Agree0 Disagree0

Based on VDV's issues this past season, the decision to sell him was correct.

Agree0 Disagree0

Issues that may not have occurred if he'd stayed at Spurs. The decision to sell him could still be deemed correct but to replace him with Dempsey and leave us a proven striker short was a joke!
