Never occurred to me about champions league final . COYSMFS post is pretty spot on and maybe and hopefully one of them might be at spurs, still having nightmares about cappello . Going to be a lot of sleepless nights untill spurs next manager named, everywhere I turned today could swear I kept seeing cappello need treatment, please not cappello.

Posted it a few weeks ago and stated I knew it made me sound crazy but, of the names mentioned, Benitez is the lowest risk. I've never been a fan and he can be defensive at times but let's be fair, if we were defensive, negative and really lucky in a Champions League run and then won it would you complain?
Doubt he'd shackle us against most sides in the league but, this season shows it's quite obvious we need it against the top 4 next time out to move us up a couple of places.
Added to that are the bare facts of having experience with big clubs in this league and abroad, speaks English, is a big name, has managed in very difficult circumstances and been successful (Chelski) and has a CV of trophies anybody would love to have.
Man management not so hot sometimes but nobody can get on with and be liked by everybody and, most players will have far more respect of somebody with his managerial record when things don't suit them compared to Sherwood, AVB, Pochettino or De Boer.
I'm not saying i'm in love with idea but these are all important facts and we need the lowest risk appointment and some stability for a while, coupled with best chance of some increased respect and progress being made.

Quick poll guys who would we rather have as manager next season. Seems the main 3 linked to the job are

M. Pochettcino
R.Benitez
F. De Boer

For me it has to be De Boer, I think him coming in will help to keep Vertonghen and Eriksen happy.

Just been reading that bookies have slashed MoPo's odds again after various four figure bets were placed on him.
Now, if levy appoints him, then he deserves all he gets. If this happens, we will continue to be a laughing stock and our managerial merry go round will continue. I'm really hoping this is last chance saloon for levy. More years in the wilderness to follow I think.

Has to be FDB for me as like stated will keep most happy . not sure on Pochettino as the man can't speak the lingo . Mr levy better get this right . as for benitez? i'm not sure

Firstly Pochettino speaks English, fact! Secondly I can't understand why anyone would say his appointment would make us a laughing stock? This is the same type of fan who would have said the same thing if Levy had appointed Rodgers or Martinez when they where available. not a big name BS!

I was Sat with 3 fellow Spurs fans a couple of years back and when I said Martinez a great appointment for Spurs they hammered me, once again for the same reason. not a big name, not managed a big club, what's he won blah blah blah!

Spurs need to appoint a manager that comes with a philosophy and need to give him time. For me Pochettino is that man, plays good football, is a tactician and a progressive coach. People point to the fact that he has had some great young players a Southampton so the job he has done is just ok but no one can convince me that the Southampton squad is filled with quality, there a are some average players in that team/squad! My point is he has done a great job there and in my opinion would be perfect for Spurs!

I hope if he is appointed then the doubters get with the programme and give him time!

Benitez (can't believe I keep saying that!)
