Can someone tell me what Baldini is hired to do?
Did we really need a dof? Besides he haven't come for free.
I know it's early but we are around 4 weeks till the start if a brand new make or break season. A lot of the attractive signing have gone. Surly players need time to gel not a 10 game settling period at the start if the season. we do this every season thinking we will get a bargain at the 11 hour. The only one we got was really vdv and that was because the club he was meant to join could not raise the funds.
Get what we need in within the next 7 days let that player settle in to the team and home let the manager experience new things then if a bargain comes alone pounce

Mr G, again, calm down, it's 2 weeks into the window for god sake! Baldini was brought in so avb could concentrate on running the team and identifying targets, baldini is going to get them. Be patient. It's 2 weeks. Stop worrying and moaning. The season doesn't start for 5 weeks, there's so much time left!

I'm not moaning just making points Dom! Or track record in the transfer market for being a spurs fan is not great. One min we r signing the best thing since slice bread the we sign the sliced bread

Mr g, if you choose to believe everything you read, then you will be constantly very disappointed.
We probably are only trying to sign a fraction of the players we are linked with.

Levy needs to get on with it. he must learn from past mistakes. He who hesitates.

Moaning was a bit harsh. Apologies Mr g, but there is plenty of time. I feel as much as anyone that we have been short changed in the past, but I don't for one second think that baldini would've joined and avb would've stayed if they hadn't been given reassurances on transfers. If we find ourselves in this position come September 1st, then I will be the first person with you holding placards outside the lane demanding answers.

It was good for Benteke to do as well as he has for the Villains but to want a transfer after one season to me is just totally unacceptable. He is basically a mercenary IMO. I would personally prefer to sign Torres. He played amazing at LPool but flopped at Chelski. I believe that was due to his enormous price tag and the weight of expectation of filling Drogbas' boots.

He would thrive at Spurs and again get his career back on track. With service and help from Bale and Paulinho he could be the icing on the cake.

What would be the chances of Spurs getting Torres for a similar fee?

Torres all day long had a good second half of the season and at the confederations cup. Also it the World Cup year, prob his last. I can't see him playing every game if any if chelski sign another striker. £ 18-20 mil

Torres all day long! Soldado would be my preferred option followed by damiao.

Benteke wanted to leave genk for villa. It wasn't agreed. He went on strike and finally got his move.
Nw he will probably do the same, after one season. Trouble in my opinion.

Never, the crowd would get on his back similar to ade, also he has humungous wages

That's quite a list, and I'm sure I'll have missed more than a few. Obviously, a lot of this is pure media speculation, but it does just show you how many players we allegedly get linked with. This happens every transfer window.

So far this time, we've managed to secure Paulinho which makes us at least more successful than those clowns up the road at The Library! God, how I'd love us to say, right, if Benteke (Heskey reincarnation, no thank you!) is worth £25m, then we're going in for Higuain instead. To pinch him from Wenger's grasp at this stage would be soooo sweet!

I think you will find that Arsenal and Liverpool are linked to just as many and Everton not so far behind, many of them the same players as on your list.
