Modric hasn't had a very good season this year. He hasn't shone out in games like last year, when he is on the pitch I don't even know he is playing. 40 million last year? Will be lucky to get 25 with him going at this rate.

I've said this since last summer ... Some may have said before that but Milan badelji
From same place as modric Dinamo
Better shot on him
As good pass rate as modric if not better
Good vision and 23 and could get
Cheaper than modric was ..
I'd say If Chelsea want him
For 40m or around that mark
Id say sell he hasn't been the same since last season ... Granted upped his game since the begging of the season
But him and redknapp out
Badelji and * insert favoured manager name here * in ... Not to mention other changes and additions ... And deadwood out .... Although still I'd like to keep gio
Maybe the new manager will see hissed his true worth

Any thoughts on a CB now Vertonghen appears destined for Arsenal. Agger might be a good option, Liverpool look a much better team defensively when is playing for them, and am sure he wouldn't mind champions league football next year. Just a suggestion...

Why did someone dislike that ? It's factual .... Or do northerners not deal in facts
Like the deluded Liverpool lot who deal in fantasy and past ...
And now apparently Newcastle are about to start getting very cocky .... Newcastle fans please do us a favour don't be like Liverpool fans I'm so full of respect for Newcastle at the moment .... I thought you'd have a good season but didn't quite expect this ....
Please don't let that respect be lost due to silly fans .... Same really with arsenal as much as obviously there is the banter and rivalry much respect to them for getting back to where they are now after the s**t start they had .... But their fans make that respect dwindle and almost disappear completely

Haha you think Agger would move to you. He's been at LFC for 7 years, playing in a CL final and winning the FA Cup and League Cup, and is now finally gaining outside recognition for developing into one of the best CBs in the league. Why would he move?

@Martin, to play CL and play for a high placed, arguably better team. Without trying to be argumentative, Liverpool will not be able to offer CL football for a good few years as they really are on the decline. The realisation that Liverpool are a team in decline would therefore prompt a move right? And if he is one of the best CBs in the league (which I agree with) surely he would want to be playing football for one of the best teams in the league....

I'm sure he would like to play for one of the best teams in the league. But I'm afraid he is not exactly friendly with any of the Man Utd players and City already have loads of CBs :) Agger is the closest you'll get to a scouser outside Liverpool, a true red who's stuck by us even when the bum-sniffing fool was in charge and playing him in the reserves. Yes we've had a terrible league campaign but 2 cup finals in three months is hardly the sign of a team on it's last legs. It's a young team and going by the last week, expenditure this summer will be equal to that of the last without the hindrance of Mr Comolli using his awful negotiating skills to tie up the next big thing for £50m. So next season will be a fresh start and I reckon with Lucas, Skrtel, Agger, Gerrard, Suarez and a good finisher in the same team we would coast to Top 4. But I won't go into any hypotheticals with so many possible variants.
Bottom line, I'm afraid Agger will not be moving to Spurs, any time soon at least. But I'm sure you'll find another quality player similar in style to him like Vertonghen, Papadopoulos, etc. with relative ease.
