We had the momentum tonight after holding them with 10 men. This is our seventh time in a row loosing a penalty shoot out. However, I am not disappointed that we are out. It is our best chance of getting top four. I believe the Gooners will get third and between us and Chelsea for fourth. With Chelsea still in EUFA and cup semi final, they have a lot of fixtures. It is our best chance. Only pity was that Dembele's scored that late winner against Lyon.

Adebayor has just proven what a pile of utter s***e he really is. Why we are paying him 100k a week is beyond me. Get rid ASAP to the first bidder, (assuming someone actually wants him of course)
Even without Lennon, bale, Defoe, kaboul, and dembele for most of the game we should be strolling past Basel! This shows out squad is definitely not strong enough, and this should have been realised in January! If we make champions league places we will be very very lucky. Not happy!

Basel beat Manchester United and Bayern Munich last year. & if you actually took notice of the game, you would have realized that Basel are a great footballing side. Just saying

Yea adebayors control was shocking but he was ploughing a lonely field up top.
We miss bale and Lennon badly, not just for the obvious but also because they get up with our striker.
Siggs tried to get up but how many times did ade run at them all alone.
He is the only fit striker we have.

Huddlestone what a sub what a player what a penalty. Adebayor crap, Holtby crap, Siggurdson crap, Dempsey crap, Parker crap, Friedel crap. Thick crap substitutions by Avb, no balls like Redknapp, frightened of putting on a young striker.

I actually thought holtby played well. Ok it wasn't by far a star performance but it was a solid performance. His work rate was very high and he was always tracking back to defend.

Little tommy Carroll had a good game and if it wasn't for a few really good tackles the game wouldn't have made it to the lottery shoot out.

Dawson? What can I say. If any team in the world want to see a true captains performance they just need to watch that game and his performance.

Mk1 {Ed008's Note - Dawson was brilliant last night leader on the pitch he should be Englands 1st choice centre back.

agree with you on that one ed, Dawson was amazing last night against BASEL, he should be the best player in the galaxy because of how he handled Cher last night.

But telling AVB he's got no brain etc just cheer on your team your bench is very limited he's trying to do the best he can with what he's got because Levy is a tight arse and won't splash the cash. I want Spurs to qualify it doesn't matter what you say..
