Hi guys. Was just reading another site that specialises in the transfer markt, and I noticed that we are one of only two teams in the Premiership who participated in any deals to have come out in the black. That's us (c £4m) and Everton (c £7m), after their last minute heroics on deadline day.

That's a pretty amazing feat when you consider that we topped the spending table, and reiterates what a fantastic job Levy & Co. have done in this window, which will surely go down in Spurs folklore! Given the fact that Bale could have been wiped out with one late tackle against Hull City or their likes, it was futile to resist the offer and the temptations put before us by Real. In the end, no-one would have said no, but boy did Levy charge Real for the privilege! We have rebuilt our team, re-stocked the larder, have pundits and fans alike purring about the potential in this squad now, and all for the price (albeit, a rather exorbitant one at that!) of one Gareth Frank Bale.

So, like many recent posts, I see nothing but a very bright future for the Lilywhites. Should really raise a glass to Mr Levy and to Mr Bale. We are surely heading upwards.

Aren't we?

Why does Glen Hoddle have doubts about your transfers this season. What is it that he sees as a problem? Maybe losing your matchwinner was not quite as good a deal as you first thought.

The guys at Madrid are not totally stupid and they were more than willing to do the deal to get Bale.

Levy may have got the money but when Liverpool got the call from Madrid about Suarez John Henry said no and told Madrid not to bother calling back. Levy didn't manage to do that.

Time will tell whether Levy taking the money and selling the biggest asset you had is wothwhile.

Would you rather have a 10 carat diamond or a pocket full of cube zircona?

Tommy Gunn,

I would rather have what we have which is diamonds with the potential to be better than 10 carot, think you need to worry about your own lot mate

Tommy, you could also say that the season we refused to sell modric to the chavs, you sold RVP to man utd. Also you bowed to fabrigas to Barcelona. Player power always wins and don't you think the reason Suarez is still at Liverpool is that either no offer was made or not enough money was offered?
