Come on Levy West Ham have bid 14.5 million for
Negredo although it was turned down it makes a statement of intent on their part which could prompt others to join them but certainly cannot do them any harm, many seasons ago we signed Modric at the start of the summer and now we are a bigger club than back then and a big signing like he was at the start of the summer would surely make us too tempting to turn down even without CL football

Should've signed him in January, probably for less then and would've added goals we needed for 4th. Now they have raised some money they've bought a little breathing space to start a bidding war.
